Thoughts

Dr. Victoria Brooks is an award-winning doctor with a daughter named Noelle who is following in her footsteps. The pressure of living in her shadow is too much for Noelle, who attempted suicide a year earlier. Dr. Brookes gives Noelle a cherished bracelet that belonged to her mother.

Noelle starts her new job as an RN at the hospital. Luna and Claire are hired with her and immediately claim Noelle is only there due to nepotism. This is fule for Noelle’s insecurities. Noelle isn’t the only one with insecurities. Dr. Victoria is haunted by a patient she lost to complicated labor. She hears a baby crying late at night and receives a note printed that reads “I Know What You Did!” and has flashbacks to the heart tattoo on the mother’s arm.

After a long day at work, Dr. Victoria leaves to meet her husband for a date and notices her car has been vandalized. A rock has been thrown through the window with a message that reads. “Next time, it won’t just be a window that is broken.” (Which is threatening and RUDE!) Dr. Victoria tells her husband, Thomas, that she thinks it is the father of the patient she lost 20 years ago. Detective Garcia is on the case.

The new RN’s get changed for a girl’s night out. Luna has a heart-shaped tattoo, similar to the mother who died on the OR table. Dr. Brookes crashes the girl’s night and notices a man in a black hoodie. She is distracted when Noelle passes out. (Claire roofied her drink in the bathroom.) Claire helps Dr. Brooks take Noelle home and spends the night. In the middle of the night, Dr. Victoria thinks she hears an intruder, grabs a candlestick, and turns on her flashlight to investigate. It turns out to just be Thomas… probably having an affair with Claire.

At the hospital, Dr. Victoria gets stuck in a closet and frantically tries to get out. A new on the floor named Maddie opens the door casually. She looks surprising, like the mother who died… Was this lady having triplets because EVERYONE is a suspect here.

At a dinner party, Luna goes off on the ethics of saving the baby or the mother when a delivery goes wrong. Claire engages in a heated debate culminating in a spilled glass of wine, and Dr. Victoria cuts herself with a steak knife. She takes Luna upstairs to change and notices the lower back tattoo.

Noelle and Claire bond, and Noelle opens up about her suicide attempt. Meanwhile, Dr. Victoria continues to be stalked at work. She finds a medical record with the word “MURDER” written in blood. (Or ketchup.) Then a pregnant patient starts crashing, and Dr. Victoria is faced with the same decision. This time with Noelle’s help, she saves the mother AND the baby.

Detective Garcia finds the body of the father. He has been dead so long that he is a skeleton. So he can’t be the stalker. Next, Dr. Victoria accuses Luna of stalking her and has her removed from the hospital.

Dr. Victoria is but on suspension due to the close call. Dr. Victoria looks up Russell Meyer’s PalZone account with her free time and learns that CLAIRE IS THE DAUGHTER. (Which we all knew from the get-go, right?)

Noelle and Claire are hiking through the woods, and Claire takes Noelle’s cellphone, ties her up, and holds her in a Family Cabin. Dr. Victoria locates the cabin and attempts to rescue her daughter. Claire is waiting with a syringe and takes Dr. Victoria down.

Claire goes into her villain monologue. She tracked down Dr. Victoria and blamed her for killing her mother. Claire’s father was abusive and shunned her because she reminded him of her mother. Claire killed her father and then set her sights on Dr.Victoria.

Dr. Victora tells Claire that her mother told her to save her. The bracelet comes back, thankfully. Noelle uses it up untie herself to save her mother. She grabs a random pipe and beats Claire with it to save her mother.

The police arrive at the scene and arrest Claire. Olunike Adeliyi looks flawless somehow.

Flash to a year later. Luna has earned the residential spot, and Noelle is going to a hospital in Chicago. Claire sends a package from jail, or does she? Dr. Victoria opens the packages that informs her that she has chosen the wrong daughter. The picture inside is of Maddie the nurse with Claire. Dr. Victoria runs outside to find Maddie in her car. The two give one another the death stare. The end!!!!! Lifetime leaving me on a cliffhanger. Damn.

Side Note

Minority Report: Luna, Noel, Dr. Garcia, Tamika and her security guard husband,

Olunike Adeliyi is kind of too good for Lifetime. Can we get her a Netflix show?

Lifetime delayed this movie due to an outcry from the Black birthing community over another movie called Beware of the Midwife. The move was unwarranted because this movie was not problematic at all.

  1. Absolutely great movie!!! Please, “Revenge Delivered ” deserves a sequel.

  2. I really love that you do this. However, sometimes you get your info wrong. For example, you wrote that the 3 women who were starting work at the hospital were nurses but they were actually doctors. A lot of people still assume women are always nurses and not doctors. I’m not saying you did that. I just wanted to let you know

    1. Thank you for letting me know! I have been watching ER lately and the paitents always assume the female doctors are nurses and it is so infuriating!

I do get things wrong sometimes and appreciate you pointing this out. Thanks for reading 🙂
