Julie Stevens’ life is turned upside-down when Martin moves to her neighborhood. Thoughts

Julie and Elizabeth run an art gallery in a small town with a rigid no return policy. An irate customer screams at them and tells them, “He won’t forget this.” The greasy-looking art buyer named Martin Hale is new to town and in need of some paintings. Martin invites Jule for coffee, and they are almost run over by a car. Someone photographs them while they have coffee and get to know one another.

Cut to a high school VERY RANDOMLY. We see a new girl in school named Dana, who awkwardly bumps into hot jocks. This particular hot jock is Julie’s son, Charlie, and Dana is Martin’s daughter. So not only are mom and pops starting a love affair, so are their kids.

Julie and her son Charlie commiserate about their days. They unknowing plan a BBQ with Dana and Martin. Martin and Dana accept the invitation and talk about his criminal past. Martin was a jewel thief or something shady, but he has turned a new leaf. The past seems to be following them as a blonde woman with too much eye makeup caresses a gun, follows him and his daughter around town, and creates a serial killer wall of Martin.

The Blonde Raccoon (This is what I’m calling the stalker woman.) runs over Dana’s bike and places a tracker on Martin’s car. Then she sells some stolen jewelry to the local dealer and then forces him to give her a bracelet at gunpoint. She has been following Martin for years, and he uses different alias wherever he goes. They were once engaged, and the bracelet was a token of “Evan” (Now Martin)’s love. He drugged her, stole the bracelet, and ran off with all her money. Blonde Racoon is out for REVENGE.

The dinner date happens, Julie and Martin are thrilled their kids are dating. Dana is not excited about the double date because she isn’t happy with her dad’s lifestyle and involvement with her new boyfriend’s mom. She is right because Martin snoops around the house for financial records. Julie almost catches him, but they make out instead. (Which is what I would do to cover my tracks too.)

While on a jog on a scenic mountainside, Julie runs into Blonde Raccoon. Her name is “Helen,” and she compliments Julie on her art gallery. Then Helen breaks into Martin’s house and sees Martin and Julie on the back porch drinking wine. Helen is LIVID! (Or she is fine, and her eye makeup is making her look more dramatic.) Dana almost catches Helen in the house, but she casually walks out of the front door. Dana watches Martin gift Julie the same bracelet he gave Helen. Dana knows her father has made Julie his next mark.

Dana rushes into Charlie’s arms and cries as non-specifically as she can. Then they make out too.

When Dana comes home, she screams at Martin for conning another woman. Martin swears that it is different this time, but Julie has some money… The conversation is call recorded on the nanny cam that Helen installed. Good old Blonde Raccoon watches and promises to make him pay while x-ing out his eyes in a picture.

Julie leaves work after receiving an ominous call from Martin. They meet at his house. Martin attempts to come clean to Julie, who doesn’t want to focus on the past.

Helen is not far behind. Charlie and Dana see her at the art gallery and follow Helen to Martin’s house.

The doorbell rings, interrupting Martin and Julie’s conversation. It is Helen or Sloane with a gun. She pistol whips Martin and screams at Julie for replacing her. Martian tries to tell Helen/Slone that he loves her and Julie is just a mark. Helen/Slone takes a flower and plays, “He loves you, He loves you not.” Julie takes her chance and tackles the woman. Julie gets the gun and saves the day.

Everyone is safe, if not a little bloody. The two couples kiss.

Flash forward to a pool party. The teens rough house in the pool, while the adults drink long island ice teas by the pool. Martin and Julie cheers and promise to date for decades, which is weird. The end!
