The story begins five years later with the Brenner brothers preparing for another memorable Christmas. In a crazy turn of events, possibly brought on accidently by the brothers themselves, the director of Luke’s (Walker) son Thomas’ (Miles Marthaller, Round and Round) school holiday musical steps down. Luke is desperate to make his son’s stage dreams come true, so he enlists the help of his brothers Taylor (Hynes) and Stephan (Campbell). Meanwhile, the trio navigates meeting their mom Barbara’s (Colin) new boyfriend and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about this relationship. In true Brenner brother fashion, they are all in for a Christmas they will never forget.

Recap/Wine Thoughts
I 1000% needed a recap at the start of this movie because I retain none of these movies in my brain.
I am guessing that Andrew Walker is struggling to keep it together. Being a Fire chief and raising a kid, the baby from the last movie, is difficult! He runs out in his boxers to take out the trash and misses the trash truck. His girlfriend or wife, Sofie, is leaving town and misses Andrew Walker’s 42nd birthday. She will be back in town for Thomas’ Christmas show.
Stephen is a former pet therapist and now is the writer of a popular self-help book. He goes on talk shows, and it is a total sell-out.
Tyler Hynes works on developing a game or app or something. He isn’t a sell-out and gets evicted from his apartment. He is the cool uncle.
The Christmas show is called How the Grump Stole Christmas. The theater director is stressed out and favors a diva singer kid named Katie. When Tyler Hines picks up his nephew, he brings peanut butter cookies and causes a massive allergic reaction. Even still he is into the musical director, Caroline. Stephen shows up to pick up his nephew, too, and causes an accident, ruining the set and costumes, and the theater director dramatically quits.
The school principal, who was there when the brothers were in school, decided to make the brothers direct the Christmas play with their mother’s boyfriend supervising. Many parents don’t want their kids to be involved anymore, leaving a motley crew of misfits.
Stephen seems stressed about his mom dating the new guy, Roy, and his mother repurposing their childhood bedrooms? This guy needs to mind his own business and take a chill pill.
Rehearsals aren’t going great, and Thomas is down because he doesn’t think he is good enough. Tyler Hines, give him a pep talk.
The brothers hire a new set designer who is in love with inflatables. Mark LeClarek wants to add pyrotechnics. Roy asks the brothers if they are losing sight of the Christmas spirit and if it is a kid’s Christmas pageant. A fire happens backstage, and the brothers blame Roy and accuse him of setting the fire on purpose. The brothers start fighting, and the show might not go on.
Their mother sits the brothers down and tells them she is more than just their mother, and they need to chill out and let her live her life and be happy. The brothers have a heart-to-heart in the car and open up to one another.
The show does go on to a sold-out crowd! We do see the whole Christmas pageant. It is a total Grinch rip-off. Stephen gets stuck, but the kids sing a song and save the show.
Kimberley Sustad shows up and gets really meta for a second. Then she is gone.
Stephen gets engaged to his girlfriend, and everyone celebrates. The brothers also accept Roy into the family.
Then, the brothers do the dance from the first movie with Thomas. The end!
Side Note/Stray Thoughts
The kid actor was actually not an annoying child actor and seemed like a real kid!
