Lifetime & Hallmark TV Christmas Movie Roundup (2019)

This is WILD! I am in totally shock and delight that both TV networks have released their holiday movie lineups. (Well Lifetime is keeping tightliped about three of their movies… I’m thinking one will be “The Wrong Christmas” starring Ms. Vivica A Fox.)

Lifetime (28) and Hallmark (40) have gone above and beyond to give everyone cheer and jeers during the holiday season. I hope someone gets me an advent wine calendar because I am going to be a BUSY gay. Let me know what movies your excited about or ones that you would “Put a Cork In It,” Happy Holidays! Sweet Mountain Christmas

When Laney Blue’s (played by Megan Hilty) country music career took off, she ditched her not-so-nice hometown for something bigger. Thoughts

Megan Hilty is having a banner year on Lifetime. First the Patsy Cline movie and now a Christmas movie where she lives in a “not-so-nice hometown”?!? Plus, she is playing a country singer… so I’d imagine she will be signing. “Pour it Up!”

A Merry Christmas Match 

Premieres: October 25th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Wow. This synopsis is very bad. How do any of these things correlate with one another? I also don’t know these actors and don’t care. “Put a Cork in It.”

The Road Home for Christmas

Thoughts

Could Marla Sokoloff be the next Full House alum, vying for Lori Loughlin TV movie crown? I’m thinking probs not. That crow will go to Candace. Can we talk about Marie Osmond being a photoshopped nightmare in this poster? This movie also features dueling pianos?  “Put a Cork in it”

Christmas Wishes & Mistletoe Kisses

Premieres: October 26th, 8/7c on Hallmark Channel

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

Single mom Abbey (Jill Wagner) takes a leap of faith to pursue her passion for interior design. When she gets hired to decorate the estate of local businessman Nick (Matthew Davis), Abbey must complete the job by Christmas Eve. With the holidays fast approaching, Abbey must figure out how to break down the wall between her and Nick, as this could be the opportunity that jump-starts her career.

Thoughts

I enjoy that Jill Wagner’s character is a woman who has career aspirations. Since interior design can be done ANYWHERE, maybe she won’t have to leave her job for a man. Hope my Christmas wish comes true. “Let it Breathe.” 

No Time Like Christmas

Premieres: October 27th, 8/7c on Lifetime

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

After Emma finds her college boyfriend’s engraved watch at a vintage jewelry shop, her sister Bronwyn believes it is a sign, and decides to secretly play Cupid by sending Emma to the same bed and breakfast in Vermont that Fletcher is staying at one week before Christmas. However, upon arrival, Emma is not only shocked to bump into her first love after all these years, but also his vivacious daughter. Throughout the week, the two fight their feelings for one another as they plan a Christmas Eve show in hopes of saving the local theater.

Thoughts

Kyla Pratt is a cutie. This movie on the other hand is one tired cliche after another. Long lost loves, saving a theater, secretly playing cupid… oh boy. “Put a Cork in it.” 

Nostalgic Christmas

Two Turtle Doves

Thoughts

A rare Hallmark Christmas movie with out “Christmas” in the title. Glad Nikki DeLoach is playing a doctor, I didn’t know Hallmark let women be doctors. This movie also has a widower and his adorable daughter and was written and directed by females? “Pour it Up!”

Christmas Reservations

Thoughts

Melissa Joan Hart is one of my all time Christmas favorites. She is over the top and super cheesy, but isn’t that what Christmas is all about… and JESUS! Plus, you have Marie Post from Night Court! and Michael Gross from Family Tides! “Pour It Up!”

Merry & Bright

Premieres: November 2nd, 8/7c on Hallmark  

Stars: Jodie Sweetin & Andrew Walker 

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

Cate (Jodie Sweetin), CEO of the Merry & Bright Candy Cane Company, meets Gabe (Andrew Walker) during the busy Christmas season. She assumes Gabe is the suitor her well-meaning mother is trying to set her up with, when in reality, he works for Empire Corporate Recovery, which has been hired to take a closer look at Merry & Bright’s operation and find ways to make the company more profitable. As Cate and Gabe begin to work together, they find ways to elevate the business and find that they have more in common than savvy business sense..

Thoughts

Is it weird that I feel like a Candy Cane factory has never been explored before? Like it MUST have, but I can’t think of any Christmas movies that have. An original twist and two very attractive white people? What is not to love! “Pour It Up!”

Forever Christmas (Or Always and Forever Christmas)

Premieres: November 3rd, 8/7c on Lifetime

Thoughts

Beth Broderick is a good start for any TV movie. Add some literal Christmas magic and you can’t go wrong. “Pour it Up”

EXTREME SPORTS??? Haha. This is amazing. I’d need to see some of that for this to really work for me. “Let it Breathe”

A Sweet Christmas

Premieres: November 10th, 8/7c on Lifetime

Thoughts

It is RUDE to call Loretta Devine is referred to as “elderly” in this synopsis. Baking contest movies never really turn out that well, they always seem a little… underbaked. “Let it Breathe.”

The Mistletoe Secret

Kellie Picker is a bonafide Hallmark Movie star. Christmas in Graceland was the most viewed movie of last Christmas. Even though she couldn’t act. This one might be a so bad it is good. “Pour it Up!”

Topical because dairy farms are actually running into hard times. I’m also excited about Katie Leclerc being in her first TV Christmas movie. Katie is hard of hearing; she suffers from Meniere’s disease. She will be the first actress with a disability to play a romantic lead. “Pour it Up!”

This one is vague but I’m intrigued by the “elderly woman” and wonder if it is Loretta Devine again. “Let it Breathe”

A Very Vintage Christmas

The Christmas lights are up and shoppers are flooding the quaint town of Mountain View, including one special store, Very Vintage Antiques. A Christmas Wish

Every December in the small town of Ponchatoula, Louisiana a wooden wishing box is placed in the park as a Christmas tradition. After a night out together, Maddie (Park) encourages her sister Faith (Burton) to put a wish in the box – a wish to experience true love for the first time. I never really got over the fact that Hilarie Burton used to be an MTV VJ. However there are soooo many people in this movie, Including: Lee Norris, Antwon Tanner, and the most random of all… Ryan Cabera. “Pour it Up!”

Staging Christmas

Lori (Moon Frye) stages homes for a living and her busiest season is Christmas! Though she normally only stages homes that are for sale, she’s intrigued when a wealthy widower named Elliot (Stults) asks her to stage his home for the holidays to cheer up his daughter, Maddie. As Lori starts remaking Elliott’s home, she finds that Maddie isn’t the only one in desperate need of the Christmas spirit. As Lori spends more and more time with Elliot and Maddie, she starts to feel like part of the family. While she was initially hired to simply stage the perfect Christmas in their house, she ends up creating it for the father and daughter in every way imaginable.
