Stars Ria Ridley, and Kelcie Stranahan (2023).
Recap/Wine Thoughts
The movie starts with a motel maid practically beating a guest to death with an ice bucket. She is arrested while screaming, “Noooooooooo!” (I had to rewind to make sure I didn’t miss something.) Again, THIS IS HOW THE MOVIE STARTS.
Cut to Leah Sterling, personal trainer for Mind Body Fitness on the Elevate Bike. She is also the business and has an office with a peddle desk. Vanessa (her best friend) and Rachel help operate the business. They encourage her to date
Natalie is unemployed and can’t find a job because of her criminal background. She is also on anti-anxiety meds. The social worker tells Natalie to “believe in herself.” The words of encouragement lead Natalie to enter a ‘New Best Contest’ where Natalie could win a free Elevate Bike, personal training sessions with Leah, and lunch to focus on her personal goals.
Leah is also working on her dating life. She doesn’t have much time with her fitness program and a book she is writing. Leah is an overachiever. A man named Tom invites her on vacation, but she declines cause she is busy!!! Ok!!!! Working Woman!
Natalie wins the contest and is surprised by Leah at her front door. Leah unveils the Elevate Bike. (Which looks cheap as hell.) Natalie is defensive at first, but Leah tells her that her luck is changing.
Natalie and Leah talk about motivation and discipline. Leah even gives Natalie homework to make a vision board. This would be time for a workout montage, but before we get to that, we learn that Leah started her business after a nasty divorce.
Natalie misunderstands the assignment for her vision board and cuts out pictures of Leah with hearts drawn around them.
NOW IT IS MONTAGE TIME! Natalie and Leah workout together. Innercut with a count down to lunch date and Natalie looking at herself in the mirror.
On Lunch Day, Natalie meets with her social worker to show off how good she is doing and makes fun of the woman for being an uninspired loser.
Leah doesn’t know about Natalie’s past but says kind words to Natalie, who cries into her chardonnay. Leah promises that the more she puts into herself, the more she will attract. (So, basically, The Secret.) Natalie asks for a job, and Leah encourages her to apply for an office assistant job. Before leaving, Natalie sees a cute guy at the bar. She chugs her wine, introduces herself to him, and plants a big old kiss on him. He is there with someone else on a date; the date is NOT pleased. (Haha, so great.)
At the assistant job interview, Natalie meets a girl named Amy. Amy works out at a rival gym because she “loves their ellipticals.” Natalie is quick to throw Amy under the bus in her interview. She also lies about the gap in her work history and freaks out about the background check.
Rachel shares her concerns about Natalie with Leah and Vanessa. The three are starting to worry that Natalie might be a wacko.
When Natalie gets notice that she didn’t get the job, she freaks out and attacks Amy in the parking lot of her gym. She freaks out even more when Leah is replaced with a sub, Mike. (Mike is Hot! Natalie should be thrilled!)
Natalie shows up at Leah’s office to demand to know what is going on. Vanessa explains that Leah is taking time for herself. Natalie screams and makes a scene. Leah comes out of her office and tries to calm her down.
Leah takes time to sit down with Natalie. Natalie apologizes because she thinks she did something wrong. Then she realizes that Vanessa is behind the sudden shift in a training session. Natalie desperately tries to set up a dinner date, but Leah says she has plans with Tom. Natalie is outraged and screams in her car while crying and punching the steering wheel.
Tom is surprised that Lead is dedicating more time for him. They have lunch and then some afternoon delight. Natalie sneaks into the house and steals Leah’s computer. When Tom goes into the kitchen and almost catches Natalie, she takes him out with a barbell to the head.
Tom is in the hospital in a medically induced coma. Detective Carluccio talks to Leah and Vanessa. He shares that Amy has woken up from her attack and implicated a woman. Leah knows that Natalie is behind both attacks after talking to the social worker, who couldn’t be bothered!
Detective Carluccio goes to Natalie’s apartment to ask questions and messes with her inspiration board. Natalie almost stabs him to death, but the bike alarm goes off to remind her it is time to work out!
For safety, Leah leaves town to stay at a remote cabin. Tom wakes up from his coma and casually calls Lana to warn her that Natale is the one who attacked him. He is too late because Natalie follows Leah to the cabin and chloroforms her. (Tom is on the phone and couldn’t care less!!!! He hangs up to take a nap! Haha.)
Leah wakes up in a dog shock collar. Natalie wants what she was promised from the contest. She begs Leah to coach her and jumps on the bike. Leah works Natalie so hard that she gets distracted. Leah pulls the emergency brake and punches Natalie off the bike. Natalie shocks Leah and is like, “Why would you do that? You’re my trainer!” and then, “Be my Best Friend! Get rid of everything in your life except me!”
Tom wakes up from his nap and tells detectives to go to the cabin because he thinks Leah might be in trouble. The doctors sedate him.
Vanessa comes tumbling out of somewhere, gagged and tied. Natalie wants to watch Leah kill her best friend to prove her devotion. Leah, does it?!?!?!
Natalie hears the detective outside and runs to take care of him with some pruning shears, leaving Leah inside. Vanessa comes to; she was acting. She helps Leah get the shock collar off, and they play dead again.
Natalie comes inside and thinks Leah is actually dead. She cries over the body until Vanessa pushes her over, and they put the shock collar on Natalie. Vanessa shocks the hell out of her. Leah says, “Class is over!”
Natalie gets on the bike and talks to the screen about changing her life. Only the screen is blank. Leah watches her sadly.
Side Note
The bike really looked cheap as hell, did you think?

Going into this one I had my doubts the story would be good. I wasn’t wrong.
