Charming flight attendant Brooke juggles two marriages, one with her high school sweetheart, Stefan, and the other to an older, successful businessman, Dane, who she and Stefan plan to fleece for a windfall of cash. However, while Dane’s suspicious daughter, Eliza, threatens to unmask the truth, Brooke also begins to regret her part in the plan leading to a potentially deadly showdown between Brooke, Eliza, and Stefan. Starring Kabby Borders, Isabelle Almoyan, and Jon Briddell (2024)
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Maureen Thomas waits for a guy named Rusty in an abandoned parking lot. A man comes up behind her, shoots her, and steals her purse.)
Cut to Dane and Brooke, a newly married couple who make a big introduction to Dane’s daughter, Eliza. It is a tense meeting because Eliza and Brooke are the same age, and it has only been six months since Brooke’s mother died. Eliza storms off, and a car hits her.

In the hospital, Eliza sticks to her gun and argues with her dad, even though she is laid up in a hospital bed with flawless hair! Her Aunt Carly visits and tries to calm Eliza down, but Eliza can’t shake the feeling that something is off.
Brooke is a flight attendant and gets a call for a job. She doesn’t want to leave Eliza on this lousy note and tries to smooth things over. Eliza isn’t having it and is passive-aggressive AF!
Stefan (AKA husband number two) is opening a new nightclub and fending off the ladies with a stick. Since his wife, AKA Brooke, travels so much for work, they are emboldened. Stefan is behind on the build and owes some sketchy investors $$$. (Brooke steals Dean’s wife’s jewelry for her favorite husband, Stefan, to pawn.)

Eliza researches her mother’s death; her mother was Maureen Thomas. (Which could be laid out better!) She goes to the parking lot where it happened and to a local bar to get more information from her friend Star. There is a hunky bartender, at least! (He turns out to be Stefan’s hired killer and stabs a woman named Flo, who was going to tell the girls intel.) There are a lot of whole in this plot already. Normally, that would be fine with me, but we are only 20 minutes here.

Aunt Carly and Dane talk about Eliza. Apparently, Maureen isn’t her mother. Carly is!!!!
Brooke is having a hard time maintaining the facade. (Which is annoying; I wish she was the mastermind, not just a pawn of Stefan’s.) She is also pregnant, so let’s just throw that in there too! (The maid later finds the pregnancy test in the trash and shows it to Aunt Carly and Eliza.
Eliza gets a text from Hot Bartender pretending to be Flo and sets up a meeting. Eliza steals a wad of cash from a duck/safe and goes out into the night. She invites Star to join but ends up going alone. The Hot Bartender tries to pull the same routine he did with her mother but can’t cause they recognize him.

Aunt Carly learns about Eliza, looking into her mother’s death, and helps her. They go to a PI’s office where Maureen was working. There, they learn that PI Rusty died two days ago. The receptionist leaves some files for Eliza.
Brooke takes a paternity test and she learns that Dante is the father. When she tells him, he is thrilled and Brooke is weirded out by being treated so well. She feels like she doesn’t deserve it. Stefan starts to notice that Brooke is having trouble living a double life and they get into an argument. (Later, Brookes finds out Stefan has been having an affair with a waitress.)

Speaking of arguing! Eliza overhears Dante and Aunt Carly talking about Carly being her birth mother. Eliza locks herself in her room, and I’m like, how old is this girl supposed to be?!?! Aunt Carly got pregnant as a teenager with a bad boyfriend, and her sister couldn’t have a baby of her own, so they made an arrangement that suited them all best.

After she tries to leave him, Stefan won’t let Brooke out of their agreement. He tells Brooke about the murders and blackmails her to continue working with him, or else she will have her baby behind bars. Stefan makes Brooke call Dante on speakerphone so he can make sure things still go according to plan. She asks him to send over some money “for the baby.”
Eliza skips town and tracks down Stefan. She drives to his home to confront her mother’s (kind of) killer. She just walks into the club and says, “Hello!!!!!” Stefan comes to see her, and Eliza poses as a potential client looking to rent out the unfinished club for a private party. He, of course, locks her in the basement. (She screams for help and begs to be let out.)

Brooke realizes that Eliza is in trouble and tells Dante everything. Carly also drives to the nightclub to save Eliza. Brooke ends up finding Eliza and taking Stefan out with a tool of some kind. Carly and Eliza reunite.
Everyone has a nice brunch with the baby and Brooke is ready to be the best mother she can be!
Side Note/Stray Thoughts
There is too much going on in this one, and the writing of the female characters is unmotivated.
What happened to the Hot Bartender!?!
