Forced to spend time together due to their children’s relationship, Kelly and Darius slowly develop feelings for each other. As their secret romance blossoms, they steal moments at family gatherings and behind closed doors.
Recap/Wine Thoughts

Kelly is a chef/restaurant owner/single mother to a teenage boy. Kelly doesn’t like attention, but she has multiple bestselling cookbooks under the name Delicious Divorcee.

Darius had to sell his wife’s business after she recently passed away. He is a single father to a teenage girl. He catches his daughter Jane in bed with Isaiah, Kelly’s son. Jade tells her dad to mind his business, and they get into a fight.
Isaiah goes home, and Kelly finds out her son was hooking up with Jade because his car got blocked in the driveway. Kelly goes over and confronts Darius, and they both play the blame game, embarrassing their kids. The teens get into trouble at school and get detention, but for some reason, the parents have to join them in picking up trash on a Saturday.

Kelly and Darius play hooky to go for a walk and talk about their past relationships. Darius’ wife invented an app for women, and Kelly talks about her love of cooking and less love for her baby daddy (who is trying to reconnect with Isaiah). They are currently dating people who aren’t right for them, and the time together makes them see their current dates in a different light.
They go out together and hit the town with lots of bourbon and makeouts. Kelly is giddy like a schoolgirl, and Darius thinks he might have found someone who is on the same level as his wife’s memory. While they don’t go home together, they admit they feel they are keeping something from their teenage children.

It literally takes them the next scene to get NEKED! They are almost caught by Isaiah, like they are the teens sneaking around. Cue a romantic montage of dancing and trusting under a blanket. They are giving love a second chance and admit they are falling in love.

It is time to tell Jade and Isaiah, and the teens freak out. News of the parents’ dating goes viral, and people at school make fun of them for being the IRL version of Siblings or Dating. Isaiah doesn’t have a stone to throw because he is secretly hanging out with his dad in a cheap motel, playing video games.
The public scandal causes Isaiah to move in with his dad, while Kelly figures out what to do. She begs him not to choose between him and Darius because she is a mother, but she is also a woman. Isaiah chooses to live with his dad, but that doesn’t last long.
Kelly and Darius pump the brakes for the kids’ sake, but that doesn’t stop Kelly from using Darius’s bourbon as a sauce, which takes her restaurant to the next level!

Oh damn, Kai is pregnant. I don’t think I’ve seen EVERYONE so supportive of a teen pregnancy ever in a Lifetime movie. Like, everyone is on board.

The teens decide to bring their parents back together for a business venture and LOVE. They jar the bourbon to sell in stores, and it solves all their problems!
One Year Later
The business is a success, and the couple is thriving.
