Synopsis (via Lifetime)

When Amy, the CEO of a major charity, loses her father, she’s shocked to discover he owned a mysterious storage locker with a deadly secret inside… the body of a woman. Was her father a murderer? Who was this woman?

Recap/Wine Thoughts

The movie starts in a creepy hallway, like it is The Shining. A woman practices a speech brore letting someone into her apartment before she is murdered.

Three years later, Amy writes her father’s obituary and settles his affairs. Her husband, James, goes out of town for work because he is up for a promotion. Leaving Amy to go to her father’s estate alone and sift through his stuff.

It doesn’t take long before the bad things start happening. There is a break in, and the intruder runs around with a coat over their head. The burglar drops a storage key and a USB. Amy calls the cops and then goes to the storage unit.

In the storage unit, which is crazy big, Amy finds a BODY! It isn’t a mummy or anything; it’s like it was recently put there, but the last logged visit was five years ago. Amy’s mother wants to keep the scandal a secret, at least for the funeral. Amy tells her mom about the USB, but not the police.

Amy tries to guess the USB password, and James seems more interested in her father’s golf clubs than in helping. Amy goes to the storage locker in the middle of the night, and the attendant catches her. While they are arguing someone torches the storage locker and burns everything inside. The police managed to get the body out, meaning THEY JUST LEFT IT THERE UNATTENDED??!!?!

The woman who was killed is found in a photo with Amy’s father. He was having an affair and was caught by his wife. Amy and her mother wonder what the lady in the photo was up to. They aren’t the only ones. A reporter questions James at his workplace.

A new intern at Amy’s job is happy to be there. Too happy. She looks a lot like the body found in the garage.

Amy takes a bath, and someone breaks into the house again. She manages to put on a robe and lock herself in her room. When the detective arrives, they notice the USB is missing. The police station themselves outside Amy’s house for surveillance. But what if the call is coming from inside the house?

James admits to making bad investments, and Amy’s dad bailed him out. When news of the affair leaks, Amy first blames the intern because it is always the intern, and then she blames the husband because it is always the husband.

Amy gets into it with Lisa, a worker at the storage unit, and the intern goes missing.

Amy breaks into the intern’s house, but is caught by the reporter who wrote the story leaking the news about Amy’s father’s affair. The journalist promises to help Amy figure out what is going on.

Back in the storage unit, Lisa is stabbed. Amy runs through the halls trying to catch the attacker and find the intern. Amy hears the intern calling for help and is tied up in a locker. The intern comes clean; she was the intruder at the beginning of the movie.

The killer was Amy’s mom all along. She has a gun and holds everyone captive. The mother killed the affair woman and was tying up loose ends and going after the intern. The gun goes off, and James is shot. Amy’s mom is arrested and put in jail.

The intern and Amy hack the USB drive, and it contains a video for the intern. He tells the intern that she is his daughter. Which we already know, thanks, USB! Amy invites her intern/sister to stay for dinner.

STRAY Thoughts

Everyone shading Amy’s wardrobe is hilarious.

Why were chopsticks in the Chinese boxes, and were they eating with forks?
