A star chef heads to Ireland for a major culinary event with her new love, only to find her much-younger ex there too. As they work side by side with their current partners, old feelings resurface, challenging their hearts and careers.
Recap/Wine Thoughts

Garcelle Beauvais is back playing Chef Ava. Her business has expanded to be a multi-location powerhouse. Ava is behind a desk, making deals instead of dishes. She misses the time in the kitchen, but is earning much more money. If she quits, she can’t open another restaurant for five years.
Ava and her ex-football-player boyfriend, Ellis, fly to Portugal for an International Gastro Convention. She is the guest of honor, mingling with foodie influencers and investors. Seems like my nightmare.

It turns into Ava’s nightmate when Luke shows up. WHO IS LUKE?!!?! (This movie should have done a recap at the beginning.) It is inferred that Luke is a former chauffeur-turned-chef whom Ava dated. (I literally thought it was her long-lost son.) Luke is dating an influencer named Lilly. (Who wears gloves in the bathroom, gross.)

I’m not sure what the point of this movie is because it focuses more on Top Chef-style discussions of food rather than romance, or lack thereof. It is pretty dull, and even with plenty of shirtless hunks, it doesn’t hold up to the first one.
Ava and her current boyfriend, and Luke and his current girlfriend, spend a day together drinking wine and playing Never Have I Ever. They are all hungover the next day, and it isn’t the best time, but Ellis asks Ava to move in with him, and she is hesitant.

Ellis has Luke on his podcast, and there is nothing more entertaining than watching a podcast… despite what YouTube and Netflix are trying to push on us.

Meanwhile, Ava and Lilly have lunch, and Ava clarifies that she is no longer interested in Luke. But it seems like that could be a lie. Luke makes a move, and Ava shuts him down. But, of course, Ellis sees the whole thing and gets the wrong impression. It turns into an explosive argument, and he leaves.

Who better to pick up the pieces than a fabulous flight attendant named Dion? Gays are always there to help a girl going through a breakup. Ava isn’t the only one breaking up with Lily; Luke breaks things off as well.

It is the night of the big dinner, and Ava leads her staff through good service, because she is one of the BEST CHEFS in the world. Luke buys his own restaurant and invites Ava to join him in running it. Their romance is rekindled, and they kiss with literal fireworks.
She let him fly, and he came back. Horray?
STRAY Thought
I really liked the first one. I think having them get back together ruined what was special about the first one.
