Lila’s life finally feels complete when she starts a dream job with her close friend Robin, falls into a promising romance with Mark, and discovers she’s pregnant. But everything shifts when Julia, Mark’s ex-wife, reappears the moment she learns about the baby. At first, Julia’s involvement seems harmless, even polite, until she begins showing up uninvited, inserting herself into every corner of Lila’s new life. As Julia’s presence grows more intrusive and her intentions more unsettling, Lila realizes she may be fighting to protect far more than just her future. Soon, what began as a perfect new chapter becomes a tense battle of boundaries, obsession, and survival. Vivica A. Fox, Ciarra Carter, Matthew Pohlkamp, and Jamie Bernadette star (2026).
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Lila is looking for Debbie and finds something she didn’t expect. A dead body. She is also chloroformed?
One MONTH earlier. Mark and Tamera are in a lovers’ quarrel, and Mark almost gets violent. Still, Mark physically stops himself, as if his hand is possessed. They get divorced, and that is probably a good thing.
Lila is in therapy after her traumatic incident and breakup with a guy named Paul. She goes for drinks with Ms. Vivica A. Fox. (Who orders a dry martini, with three olives. WE BOTH LIKE MARTINIS!) Lila asks Ms. Vivica A. Fox for a job to help her get back on her feet. Then Paulo shows up and ruins their post-therapy drinks. Lila hides in the bathroom, while Ms. Vivica A Fox tells Paul to “go to hell.”
At work, Ms. Vivica A. Fox introduces Lila to her co-worker, Mark, and asks him to show her around. They hit it off! Paul appears in the parking lot after work and threatens Lila. Mark comes to the rescue, takes Lila out for drinks, and they have a one-night stand. (Things are moving fast! Her therapist/Ms. Vivica A. Fox agrees and tells Lila to chill TF out.) Lila promises it was a one-time thing. (lies!)
Paul looks for Lila and gets taken out by Mark with a bat. Then Mark invites Lila to move in with him. A neighbor named Debbie tells Lila to let her know if she needs anything. Mark isn’t a fan of Debbie.
Lila is pregnant after throwing up in a Lifetime movie. She takes a pregnancy test and is worried about telling Mark. He couldn’t be happier and pours her sparkling cider. He thinks she is the best mother in the world. He even gets her a mommy book and polices everything she eats and drinks. FUN!
What is NOT fun is Mark sleeping with his ex-wife, Julia, and getting another woman pregnant, named Tamera. Debbie knows all of this and is putting herself out to be such a nosy neighbor. (She is the next to get taken out with a bat by Mark.)
Lila asks Ms. Vivica A. Fox to be the baby’s Godmother without asking Mark first and they get into an argument when he finds out. Mark wants to keep the pregnancy on the DL. Then she finds a note from Tamera with a phone number.
Tamera and Lila meet up, and they look a lot alike. Tamera is the next to go!
Ms. Vivica A. Fox calls Lila and warns her that Mark was intensely looking for her, and something seemed off. Lila returns home to find Julia in her house with Mark. Mark gets a restraining order against Julia and promises to take care of Lila; he even accidentally calls her his wife.
Lila goes to the police and finds out there is no restraining order. Then she goes to the county building and learns Mark isn’t even divorced from Julia. Then she goes to Debbie’s house and finds her body.
We are back at the beginning of the movie. Mark and Julia aren’t divorced; they are still married and just using Lila for her baby. Julia cries as she explains her trouble conceiving. Just as they are about to stab her, the police roll up and save Lila.
Lila has the baby and Ms. Vivica A. Fox is still the Godmother. Ms. Vivica A. Fox delivers the movie’s titular line and adds her signature Dawlins to the mix.
Mark and Julia move on to their next victim! The end!
