A widow becomes suspicious that the man who just moved in across the street is a killer after a neighbor is murdered.
Recap/Wine Thoughts

Sarah is having the perfect anniversary night with her husband. They’re in love and have a college-age daughter. But, since they are in a car and it is a Lifetime Movie, they get into a car crash, and the husband dies.
One year later, Sarah works at home as a painter and makes some disgusting-looking pasta for her daughter Julia, who is back from college. Sarah might not be the best at things and is isolating herself.

Julia pushes her mother to put herself out there and encourages her to date again. Sarah reluctantly agrees to go, and Julia is thrilled to help her mom pick out an outfit and rehash the men over dinner. (Julia also goes on the speed dating too) As they prepare, a man moves into the house across the street.
DATING MONTAGE

Jack is the 20th date, and he has a lot in common with Sarah. His sister insisted he go speed dating, he is recently widowed, and they even live on the same street. He is the man across the street!!!! The match, and he invites Sarah over for dinner at 8pm. (At least traffic won’t be an issue.)

Jamie-Lynn Sigler is randomly hanging around and seems very familiar with Sarah and Julia. I’m like, is she Sarah’s sister? kid? co-worker? She is none of these. She is Sarah’s husband’s work friend. RANDOM!

The movie is called MAN in the Window, but they sure seem to be setting up the nosy neighbor as the villain. There are lots of shots of her peeping through windows and scowling. Sylvia is in everyone’s business, and it might be to her detriment. While making some tea, someone breaks into her house and strangles her on the front porch.
The police investigate, and Jack comes over to keep Sarah and Julia safe. Police start asking questions, and Jack recently installed security cameras, but they weren’t working at the time of the murder. HOW CONVENIENT.
Jamie-Lynn Sigler offers for Sarah and Julia to stay with her while the police investigate. When she hears about the video footage cutting out, Jamie-Lynn Sigler offers to do a background check on Jack, and he comes back clean.

Julia goes on a date with a cute guy who needs to put in more effort into his date attire, and Sarah goes on another date at Jack’s house. She finds Sylvia’s hat in the garage AND a bloody car from a hit and run.
Instead of going to the police, Sarah breaks into Jack’s house to look for the hat. Couldn’t she have taken a picture before? Jack hears her and calls the police. The police search his house and find nothing. This incident ends their budding relationship.

Sarah becomes more determined to prove Jack’s guilt and becomes obsessed with proving it. Sarah puts a tracker on Jack’s car and looks into his past, learning his wife died in a similar incident to Sylvia’s. Sarah even bugs his house and listens to the radio in her car like she is in the French Connection or something. The behavior is alarming to Julia because her mom spiraled the same way when her husband died, insisting someone ran them off the road.

Julia and her new boyfriend decide to break into Jack’s house too!!! They find the car from the hit-and-run and a photo studio in the garage, and when Jack is almost split up. Instead of going back to get her boyfriend, she leaves him and texts him to see if he is OK. Neil is NOT OK and doesn’t make it out alive.
Sarah goes over to confront Jack one more time, and he is like, “I DIDN’T KILL ANYONE!” It is obviously Jamie-Lynn Sigler who is Jack’s sister.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler killed Jack’s wife, and Sarah’s husband overheard her confess to the crime. Jamie-Lynn Sigler drove them off the road. Then she set up the meet-cute with speed dating. She killed Sylvia and the cute guy. Jamie-Lynn Sigler explains all of this while enjoying a glass of wine, which is totally a Lifetime thing.
She ties up Sarah and Julia and dumps gasoline all over the place. (A popular weapon of choice this year.) Sarah was live-streaming the whole confession, and Jack came just in time to take out his sister. Jamie-Lynn Sigler goes to prison.

Julia goes back to college, and there is a random scene with Jack and Sarah. They agree to go out on a date for Thai food, which is so freaking random. WTF.
STRAY Thought
This was like a Law and Order episode where the special guest is obviously the killer.
