Dayna reunites with an old friend, Mike, after returning to Los Angeles to sell her family home. However, his growing obsession with her makes his home makeover proposal a living nightmare.
Recap/Wine Thoughts

The movie starts in a LA mansion, where a woman making tea is interrupted by a sound. She goes to investigate, and an intruder sneaks in and puts pills in her tea, so she overdoses and dies. RIP, Homeowner.

Dayna, who lives in San Fransico, gets a call that her mother has died, and she rushes back to LA. Katie, her sister, was helping take care of their mother. The sisters wear the EXACT same outfit, so we are sure they are sisters.
At the funeral, Detective Jackée Harry makes an appearance. Still, she is so busy being a detective that she has to go! Tom Sandoval is Katie’s husband, and she had better watch out because the pill pusher’s hands looked a lot like his.

While Sunbathing, Mike visits and asks Dayna if she is considering selling the house. He is a former childhood friend turned sexy realtor who might definitely be obsessed with Dayna. Katie is hesitant to sell the house and was hoping her sister would move in and stay in town. Dayna isn’t interested and suggests that she and Mike flip the house for sale.

Katie and Tom Sandoval are thankful that Mike and Dayna are taking over the responsibilities for the house. The place needs a new roof, and that kitchen is super outdated. Tiled countertops? Ugh! Mike hires shady contractors to get more money from the family for repairs.

A nosey neighbor meets her untimely demise at the hands of Mikey Boy. Lifetime isn’t kind to neighbors, and this is no exception. Another realtor is also poking around; he finds out about Mikey’s con and is the next to go, with a rope around his neck.

With the bodies piling up, it is time to give Detective Jackée Harry a call! She has been doing work on the case after the toxicology report came back for Dayna’s mother, and she had a lethal dose of her heart medication.
Dayna is unconcerned and still flirting with Mikey Boy, even after he keeps putting off the sale for more renovations. They make out and makeover the house, which sounds fun, but is it?

Katie and Tom Sandoval take a vacation in Cabo San Lucas and are happy to hear that Dayna and Mike’s romance is blossoming. Katie is skeptical of all the repairs and how long the renovations will take before listing the house for sale. Katie decides to give Mike a nudge to get things done. He promises he has it listed on exclusive rich people websites.
The wife of the strangled realtor goes around the neighborhood with missing person flyers. Dayna suggests contacting Detective Jackée Harry for help.
Tom Sandoval and Mike have a conversation about the business, and Tom Sandoval gets a bad feeling. Katie tries to warn her sister, but Dayna is always with him. When Dayna gets a moment away, they learn that Mike used to live in the house as a child. Also, Mike’s license has been revoked for TWO YEARS!

Dayna decides to confront Mike herself. Alone. It isn’t the best idea. Mike shows his true colors and calls Dayna a liar. He claims her parents stole the house from him after the bank repossessed the house in foreclosure. He takes Dayna’s phone and admits to killing everyone. Then he kidnaps her and ties Dayna up.

Katie and Tom Sandoval rush to the rescue. Katie tries to untie her sister while Tom Sandoval wrestles with Mike. Mike runs away, and Detective Jackée Harry has no clue where he is. Mike gets away to con another homeowner? Because he lived there too, maybe? The motives in this one were lame.
STRAY Thought
My mother and her HGTV-trained eye were having a field day with this one regarding the house.
