Christmas in Angel Falls
S1 E21 – Christmas in Angel Falls (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) – Lifetime Uncorked
Synopsis (via Hallmark)
Angel Gabriel (Rachel Boston) – Gabby – gets a special assignment and is dispatched to the town of Angel Falls. The town has lost its Christmas spirit and Gabby is charged with the task of helping the residents recapture it. Along the way, she befriends Jack Avery (Paul Greene), the Volunteer Fire Chief, who’s initially skeptical about her plan to revive the local Yuletide cheer. Determined, Gabby takes a job at the local church as the volunteer coordinator and sets about her business of recruiting residents to get the town’s holiday back on track. In the process of bringing back beloved Angel Falls Christmas traditions, Gabby has a surprising revelation about herself and her own dreams that set her down an unexpected path.
Rachel Boston is an ANGEL and her name is Gabby Messenger… She gives people candy canes and tells them “It’s all going to be all right!” and then they find true love! However, she is a guardian angel, not cupid. Michael DeAngelo (Gabby’s boss angel played by Beau Bridges) gives her a NEW assignment to save the town of Angel Falls. The paper mill closed and the town has lost it’s Christmas spirit.
Gabby gets a job as the volunteer coordinator at the church. They set her up with an apartment in town. While moving in the fire chief and friend of the pastor, Jack, surprises her to fix the sink. The two actors have good chemistry but IDK about an angel romance, ya know?!
Out on the town Gabby meets a coffee shop owner who makes the best hot apple cider. A mayor who shares his town Christmas memories. She even runs errands with Jack to see more of the town.
Gabby is motivated to give everyone back their Christmas spirit! No one in town shares her enthusiasm and are too busy to help. She eventually recruits, Alex (The daugher of Jack’s firefighter-friend who died.) to help build a town website to promote a Christmas pageant and restore the old Christmas traditions of Angel Falls. Then Gabby gets Ellen a Christmas tree (Because she is an old lady who always smells Christmas trees and cries.)
While delivering poinsettias to the church, Jack and Gabby almost kiss! Michael sees this but angel fades away angrily, because Gabby is crossing a line. She almost tells Jack that she loves him and doesn’t know what is coming over her. The next day they apologize and get back to work bringing Christmas back to Angel Falls!
When Alice goes missing, Gabby says the Lord’s Prayer and finds her. Apparently Alice fell asleep at the church and is missing her Dad, it’s the first Christmas without him. All the stress works as an aphrodisiac and Gabby and Jack KISS!
Michael comes back and tells Gabby that she needs to leave FOREVER. (and of course no one will remember her) Humans and angels can’t fall in love! He does allow her to go to the Christmas pageant and finish what she started.
At the Christmas pageant, everything goes well. Overcome with joy, Gabby tells Jack that she loves him and is immediately transported back with Michel in the park. Her mission is complete, the Christmas spirit has been returned to Angel Falls! Then Gabby realizes that she has free will and decides to stay with Jack… the end?
Gabby spins around and laughs a lot, more like a witch than an angel…
No halos! No angel wings! NO THANK YOU!
