Thoughts

A woman is running through the woods, classic Lifetime Movie beginning. The woman’s name is Joanna, and she gets killed by a man.

Cut to a mountain town at a karaoke party, Stephanie and Jameson get engaged. Their friend Lila (Chrishell Stause from Netflix’s Selling Sunset) is very excited for them. The couple is delighted, but they almost get run off the road. Stephanie thinks it could be her ex-boyfriend.

Jameson has two kids: sullen teenage Shane and cutie kid Caitlin. The children were still upset about their mother’s death a year ago. Stephanie is in an awkward situation.

While shopping for fabric for her business, Stephanie gets a call threatening to kidnap Catilin. The voice tells her that if she values Caitlin’s life DON’T marry Jameson. My bad, I think Caitlin is Stephaine’s daughter from a previous relationship.

It is the day of the wedding, and Stephanie’s ex-boyfriend shows up to tell her that he loves her. She tells him that it is inappropriate and asks him to leave. Lila marries her friends, and Shane and Caitlin are the best man and maid of honor. Awww. Then the couple goes on their honeymoon, leaving the kids with Stephanies’ mother, Doreen. (Betsy Randle from Boy Meets World.)

Jameson and Stephanie toast at a cabin, and she gets a call that her fashion business is a huge success.

The honeymoon doesn’t last long, Stephanie goes to school to pick up her daughter, but she is nowhere to be found. Caitlin is legitimately missing now and has been kidnapped. Detectives are called, and they judge Stephanie for not reporting it when it happened the first time.

Stephanie suspects Henry and goes to his house to learn that he has moved suddenly. When Henry returns, Stephanie beats him up and asks where her daughter is. Henry was in Peru and detained when he returned to the country. He has nothing to do with the disappearance.

A Ransome countdown starts. Stephanie and Henry put up missing person signs. It seems like Stephanie and Henry are on the mend. Her relationship with Jameson starts to get rocky when she learns that he was a suspect in his wife’s death. She fell off a cliff and died. Shady!

Lila does some investigating and finds some financial records from Jameson’s office. It looks very incriminating. She circles numbers with a red sharpie and calls Stephanie to leave a message. There is a knock at the door, and Lila knows whoever is at the door. We just see black gloves reach out and strangle her.

Meanwhile, Stephanie pieces together that Shane’s friend Eli was acting strange. Stephanie and Henry go over to his house and find Caitlin. Shane is there too, they both kidnapped her to protect Caitlin from Jameson. Shane warns them that his father is dangerous and killed his mother. Stephanie doesn’t want to belive him and tells her husband what happened. Jameson reprimands his son for his actions.

News of Lila’s death spreads fast. A funeral happens, and Stephanie goes through her friend’s things. She finds the red sharpie document and brings it to the detective. The detective gets angry and tells her to leave the work to them. Later, Shane reminds Stephanie that she can send him an SOS whenever she needs him. Jameson is dangerous.

Jameson takes his wife on a trip and gives her some wine that hits her strong. She is drugged but manages to send an SOS to Shane. Shane and henry track her phone to a cliff. Jameson is going to kill her for the insurance money and Jealousy. He admits to killing his wife as he pulls out a gun to force Stephanie off the cliff.

The detective, Shane, and Henry all show up at the same time. Stephanie doesn’t need any saving. She wrestles the gun from Jameson and screams, “I HATE YOU!” over and over. Jameson is apprehended.

Six months later, Stephanie and Henry are back together. They have adopted Shane.
