Over the Moon in Love

Premieres: October 5th, 9/8c on Hallmark Channel

Stars: Jessica Lowndes and Wes Brown

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

With her match-making business on the verge of closing, Brooklyn finds herself in the unique position to be featured in a magazine, but has to set up the writer with her childhood friend Devin

Thoughts

The magazine business is dead. Jessica Lowdens has EVIL looking eyes. I can only buy her as a TV villan. (Which she does well!) “Put a cork in it!”

Abducted: The Mary Stauffer Story

Premieres: October 5th, 8/7c on Lifetime

Stars: Alyson Hannigan, Rhona Rees, Howie Lai

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

On May 16, 1980, the lives of teacher and missionary Mary Stauffer (Alyson Hannigan) and her eight- year-old daughter Beth (Daphne Hoskins), were forever changed when they were held at gunpoint on their way home. With their hands bound and forced into the trunk of Mary’s car, the mother and daughter were held captive by the man, Ming Sen Shiue, who Mary later discovered was her former student from 15 years prior, was obsessed with Mary and had been stalking her ever since. Enduring torture, rape and numerous threats, Mary turned to her faith to sustain her and her daughter while held in captivity for 53 days, before they were able to finally escape their horrific nightmare.

Thoughts

I was reading up on the true story and it is actually very scary. I have faith in Lifetime be true to what the victims went through. Plus, it is good to see Willow from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer doing some dramatic acting again.  “Pour It Up!.”

Matchmaker Mysteries: A Killer Engagement

Premieres: October 6th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Stars:  Danica McKellar and Victor Webster.

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

When a woman is murdered, and her fiancé is the prime suspect, successful matchmaker Angie works to prove her client’s innocence, much to the dismay of Kyle, the detective working the case.

Thoughts

I’m not sure WHY a matchmaker is solving mysteries, but if it is Danica… I’m into it! “Pour it Up!”

Love, Fall, & Order

Premieres: October 12th, 9/8c on Hallmark Channel

Stars: Erin Cahill and Trevor Donovan.

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

When Claire goes home to save her dad’s annual Fall Fest on her family’s pumpkin farm, sparks fly with an old rival – the opposing lawyer she now faces in court.

Thoughts

We all know I think Trevor Donovan is Abrcromie and Fitch hot. Based on the title alone, I’m going to have to “Put a cork in it!” Is the title a play on Law & Order? I’m inferring that Claire is a lawyer. I just don’t understand or care.

The College Admission Scandal

Premieres: October 12th, 8/7c on Lifetime

Stars: Penelope Ann Miller & Mia Kirshner

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

Penelope Ann Miller (Riverdale, American Crime) and Mia Kirshner (Star Trek: Discovery, The L Word) have signed on to headline Lifetime’s upcoming movie The College Admissions Scandal, following the story of over 50 wealthy and elite families that tried to cheat the college admissions system.  The College Admissions Scandal will debut this fall, as part of Lifetime’s Ripped From the Headlines movie slate which includes Escaping the NXIVM Cult: A Mother’s Fight to Save Her Daughter, Abducted: The Mary Stauffer Story and Trapped: The Alex Cooper Story.

The College Admissions Scandal follows two wealthy mothers, Caroline (Miller), a sought after interior designer and Bethany (Kirshner), an owner of a successful financial services firm, who share an obsession with getting their teenagers into the best possible college.  When charismatic college admissions consultant Rick Singer (Michael Shanks,Stargate: Atlantis, Saving Hope) offers a side door into the prestigious institutions of their dreams, Caroline and Bethany willingly partake with visions of coveted acceptance letters in their heads. But when Singer cooperates with the FBI and pleads guilty, the mothers who risked everything for their kids, must face the consequences of their crimes and the loss of trust and respect from their families.

The College Admissions Scandal is produced by Varsity Films Inc. The film is executive produced by Gail Katz. Adam Salky will direct from a script by Stephen Tolkin.

Thoughts

THIS IS A MUST WATCH. Lori and Felicity must be so mad about this movie.. “Pour It Up!.”

Crossword Mysteries: Proposing Murder

Premieres: October 13th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Stars:  Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott and Barbara Niven.

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

When an old friend of New York Sentinel Crosswords editor Tess Harper (Lacey Chabert) is found murdered on the very day the Sentinel’s crossword puzzle includes his proposal of marriage, Tess unofficially teams up with Lt. Logan O’Connor (Brennan Elliot) to find the killer. Together, they must assemble the pieces of a puzzle whose origins go all the way back to WWII Europe

Thoughts

It’s Lacey Chabert! You have to “Pour it Up!”

Good Witch: Curse from a Rose

Premieres: October 19th, 8/7c on Hallmark Channel

Stars:  Catherine Bell and James Denton.

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

The Good Witch meets her match when Cassie’s long-lost college roommate, Autumn Delaney, makes an unexpected visit to Grey House on a mission to disrupt Middleton’s Halloween festivities

Thoughts

Halloween! Oh, right. I forgot about Halloween because Hallmark and Lifetime have been so focused on Christmas. I thought the Good Witch series was over, but I guess it can come back for Halloween. Seems on brand and not to scary for Hallmark/ “Let It Breathe.”

Patsy & Loretta

Premieres: October 19th, 8/7c on Lifetime

Stars: Megan Hility & Jessie Mueller

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

“Patsy & Loretta” is based on the untold true story of the friendship between two of country music’s greatest icons, Patsy Cline (Megan Hilty) and Loretta Lynn (Jessie Mueller). When they first met, Patsy was already one of the biggest stars in country music while Loretta was just a coal miner’s daughter, starting off with little to her name but a $17 guitar. Instead of seeing Loretta as competition, Patsy took Loretta under her wings to help her make it in Nashville. Soon, they became close friends, touring together, bonding over their husband troubles and commiserating on being females in the male-dominated music business. Then in 1963, the country music community was struck with a tragedy when at just age 30, Patsy died in a plane crash. Despite the devastating loss of her friend, Loretta continued on in the industry and is today, known as the First Lady of Country Music. To this day, Loretta remains grateful to Patsy for her mentorship and above all, friendship, as the country music trailblazer that paved the way for Loretta.

Thoughts

One of my favorite movies is Coal Miner’s Daughter. Any chance I can get to revisit these country music icons, I will take it! “Pour It Up!.”

Crossword Mysteries: ABRACADAVER

Premieres: October 20th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Stars:  Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott and Barbara Niven.

Synopsis (Via Hallmark)

A well-known magician drops dead in the middle of a dangerous trick on stage in front of a packed audience, but when the sudden death turns out to be murder, New York Sentinel Crosswords editor (and part-timer sleuth) Tess Harper (Chabert) and NYPD detective Logan O’Connor (Elliott) team up to discover exactly whose sleight of hand is behind the deadly “now you see him, now you don’t” stunt. Together, they must uncover the not-so-obvious clues and work their investigative magic to bring a killer to justice.

Thoughts

It’s Lacey Chabert! You have to “Pour it Up!”
