Thoughts

Cheerleaders are making fun of “Sally Crumb” and call her a fat ass loser. They are mean and kind of lame. There is a little sister there with a hula hoop watching the whole bulling and probably will hate cheerleaders in the future.

Flash to 25 years later. Marcia is a waitress struggling to make ends meet and wants to support her daughter’s cheerleading aspirations. The pom squad does an extended routine.

Three cheerleaders or Pom Pom Squad girls, Sharlene, Jessie, and Annabelle, all conveniently talk to their boyfriends about their dreams after college. Shar wants to move to New York with her twunk actor boyfriend, Jason. Jesse dates a nerd named Roger, and Annabelle dates a college boy who breaks up with her before prom. The other girls also have boyfriend issues. Jason cheats on Sharlene blatantly, and Jessie’s man hacks into the system and changes her grades.

The Cheerleader Coach planned everything as an act of revenge with a dork named Howard. She seduced him into ruining their lives. Then the next day at practice, Coach Evergreen tells the girls to get revenge on their men.

The revenge plans happen, and this movie wishes it was First Wives Club… but it is not. They put viagra in Jason’s locker. (Which I would be boosted by. Thank you for the boners!) Ruin Roger’s rocket (another phallic symbol), and who knows what happens with the college guy cause he is in college. Who cares!

Jason claims that he was seduced and drugged, but Shar isn’t buying it. Her mom loses the waitressing job when Howard shows up, fakes a peanut allergy, and blames Marcia for serving him the food. I’m not sure if Howard is supposed to be a teenager, but the man is at least 35. The cheerleaders realize he is behind all the strange things that happened with their boyfriends and try to steal his flash drive. (Sharlene gets trapped in Howard’s trunk and driven to his home or Coach Evergreen’s home.) They realize he is working for her.

Before looking into THAT, the cheerleaders try to apologize to their boyfriends. Then Jesse steals the coach’s purse and finds a pocket knife with the initials SG on it. They continue to look into Coach Evergreen and slowly. VERY SLOWLY concluded that Coach is the hula hoop girl from the beginning of the movie.

Meanwhile, Coach drugs Howard and drives his car to some train tracks. Bye Howard, you weird old teenager. No one cares that he is dead in the movie.

Marcia looks through some old papers and recalls bullying Sally Crumb and the little sister. Marcia’s bullying was so bad that Sally Crumb killed herself?!?!?! Marcia and Coach Evergreen confront one another about Sally and the whole thing. Marcia doubles calling her a liar and a cheat. YIKES! Marcia also records the conversation, and Coach knocks her out once she sees. Then Coach steals the phone and drags Marcia under the bleachers, and ties her up in a janitor closet or something.

Coach Evergreen cuts the breaks in Sharlene’s and Jessies car and then taunts Marcia with the knife that Sally used to kill herself (Jesus. This is a lot.) Marcia unties herself and rushes to save her daughter. Well, she actually calls her daughter to warn her about the breaks, which is just silly.

Jessie and Sharlene run off the road after losing control of the car. They crash into a tree. A good civilian stops, and Sharlene steals his car and ditches Jessie, who is injured in the driver’s seat.

Marcia and Coach run around the school. Just when Coach is about to smash Marcia with a baseball bat, Shar comes running up; oh wait, no, she does a tumbling pass and saves her mother. Coach complements her form as she is going down. I KID YOU NOT.

Marcia takes over the cheerleading squad, and an elaborate dance number happens with some camera effects and social distancing in the bleachers. The end!

  1. Thanks for all your writings! I read them ALL lol The synopsis of this movie is wrong though, its for another movie 🙂

  2. I don’t know what Amy is talking about because your description is the right one for this movie. Probably one of the stupidest movies that LMN shows. Especially the ending with that stupid tumbling and then the coach saying that it was a nice form and then getting kicked and knocked out. As if she couldn’t have just sidestep really quickly. That ending is so ridiculous that it’s hard to believe somebody actually got paid for that! I will say that the actress who plays Shar’s mother is freaking hot!
