Recap/Wine Thoughts
Toni Braxton is back for another whodunnit. (Yay?)
Toni Braxton’s boss, Jeffery, dies (in the last one), and she speaks at his funeral. The book club decides to find out who killed him. Toni Braxton talks with his wife, Joelle and agrees to help settle his affairs. She also meets Jefferies’s son, Brian, who isn’t a fan of the wife.
Jeffery sends a book postmortem to Toni Braxton called “Heroes Fall.” The book club gives it a read and splits up things to research to find the killer.
Toni Braxton and her new lawyer partner, Mark, go through Jeffery’s affairs with Joelle. Brian warns her to be careful because he is pretty sure she killed his father.
A reporter named Kaila gets a story that puts her life in danger. (She is almost run over by a car.) Who is she? I don’t know she isn’t in the book club! It’s a good thing she isn’t because she ends up dead in an apparent suicide. Rene finds the body and is distraught because they are friends.
Rene works on her fashion show while figuring out who killed her friend. (It naturally involves a lot of outfit changes.) Rene’s store is shot at in a drive-by shooting incident. She survives but realizes that she is in danger too.
Miller calls a book club meeting after finding a riddle in the note and analyzing the numbers because he is kind of an idiot savant? (Mayyyybe?) He finds an offshore account that belonged to Jeffery with Five Million Dollars.
Toni Braxton takes the information to Joelle and Brian, who know nothing about the hidden money.
A fashion show happens, so that is fun. I really like the candle holders on the table. Rene and Toni Braxton are held at gunpoint by Joelle, who is the bad guy. There are 30 mins left in the movie, so it can’t be that simple. (Unfortunately for us.) The hot detective saves them and takes Joelle to jail!
Brian cries to Toni Braxton, and she comforts him. Then she goes home and reads a letter from Brian to tie up loose ends.
Toni Braxton passes her bar exam and celebrates with the hot detective by eating lunch on the steps. Weeeeeee!
Side Note
Minority Report: Hollis, Joelle, Abby, Miller, Gene, Detective Wade and Gonzalez, Mark, Kaila, Dave,
This series is sooooo boring.

*** I’ve updated the rating system moving forward. Knives represent # of kills. Wine is over enjoyment (NOT a value judgment) on a 1-5 scale.
I will use the following tags for those who want to know whether to watch or skip: Pour it Up (Would Recommend) or Put A Cork In It (Would Not Recommend).
Overall rating
Number of Kills:
🔪🔪 (2 Knives)
Enjoyment Level: 🍷 (1 glass of wine.)
