Synopsis (via Lifetime)

It follows Charlotte as she meets her competitive neighbor Bonnie. When it is discovered that another neighbor was killed, a neighborhood watch is created. No one realizes that it was Bonnie who secretly murdered the neighbor.

Recap/Wine Thoughts

The movie starts with a blonde drinking a filthy martini while getting ready for a sexy date. (Lip gloss, mascara, and lingerie! She is putting in the work!) The man she is waiting for is Christian.,, a married man. Christian doesn’t show up, but his wife Bonnie does with a gun. Bonnie calls the woman a “Basic Slut.” The woman argues back, and slings insults toward Bonnie. (Never insult someone wielding a gun!) Bonnie shoots her in the chest and stages the scene to look like a lover’s quarrel gone wrong.

Charlotte and her daughter Jordan move into the neighborhood and are welcomed by a gaggle of women in athleisure. (Bonnie, Angela, and Renne) Bonnie even brings over a gift basket and quickly asks about Charlotte’s husband. (Divorced.) Even more awkward is when Bonnie finds out Charlotte also works for a Mary Kay skincare line/pyramid scheme. Elavelle.

Christian also meets the new neighbors and helps them move in some boxes. He also offers to help get Jordan into a prestigious STEM program. Bonnie gets jealous and throws wine on him when he gets home. (Which I’ll need to try!) She warns him to watch his neighbor’s fetish or else!

Bonnie throws a party and asks Charlotte not to poach her clients. Charlotte laughs it off. Then she inquires about the STEM program and asks her neighbor to set up a meeting with Bonnie’s cousin (Who runs the program.)

Angelia’s daughter Sabrina tells Jordan about the murder in the neighborhood. Jordan decides to start a neighborhood watch, complete with an online forum and linked network of cameras. JORDAN IS AWESOME!

Bonnie doesn’t think so and warns her cousin that Jordan is a criminal mastermind. Then Bonnie does some background research on Charlotte’s husband and finds out he had some money issues that tore apart the marriage.

Christian tells Bonnie that nothing is going on with the new neighbor. He was having an affair with the blonde woman named Kira, but he also knows Bonnie killed his girlfriend. They both have dirt on one another.

Elavelle hosts a sales contest, and Bonnie is determined to win; she pressures Renne into selling for her, and when that fails, Bonnie gets Charlotte and Jordan out of the house with a massage gift card so she can tamper with their furnace causing a CO2 leak. Charlotte is forced to cancel her Elavelle sales party. Bonnie celebrates with a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine herself. Charlotte finds a new location, and Bonnie destroys her Chautery board while screaming, “YOU WILL NOT WIN!”

Charlotte wins the contest and a new car. That really sets Bonnie off, she pours bleach into the gas tank. Then Bonnie gets a call that she is up for a district manager position with Elavelle. The only problem is, so is Charlotte.

Jordan doesn’t get into the STEM program, but she does save her friend Sabrina from an allergic reaction to peanuts. Anglea rushes to her daughter’s aid and takes Charlotte’s bleach car. The car stalls out, and Angela dies when the vehicle is struck by a truck. Sabrina is sent to live with her family in Germany.

Bonnie creates a fake Elavelle account using the name REBECCA BLACK. She sets up a meeting with Charlotte at one of Angela’s houses that she had listed for sale. Charlotte hits some traffic and is delayed. When she shows up, Charlotte is locked in a shed, so she will miss the interview for the District Manager position.

Jordan meets with the superintendent to see why she didn’t get accepted into the STEM program. He tells her that Bonnie didn’t put in a good word; he dragged her to hell. Then she goes home and looks at the neighborhood watch footage and sees Bonnie tampering with the car. When she can’t reach her mother, Jordan asks Christian questions. He helps her find her mother at Angela’s listing.

Once he free’s Charlotte, he tells her that Bonnie is dangerous. They crash Bonnie’s dinner meeting and ruin her facade. Bonnie freaks out and grabs a knife from the kitchen. The women have a drop-dead drag-out fight. Bonnie screams, “I can’t wait to watch you DIE!” before Jordan knocks her out with a frying pan.

Six months later, Jordan gets into college, and Charlotte gets the district manager job she didn’t even know she was up for. The end!

  1. Ohmigosh I loved this movie! I have to get acclimated to your 🍷 scoring. Love it! I first heard about you on I Love A Lifetime Movie podcast and I’m glad I did! Okay, I seriously saw a lot of humor in this movie too—with the whole MLM competition between the two main ladies. I came across a podcast you might like, albeit it’s not *specific* to Lifetime, but hear me out! 😆 Its called Not Another True Crime Podcast. Check out their episode about Mary Kay MLM, and The Way Down about the big hair church lady “cult”. I “think in Lifetime” so…as I was very entertained and laughed at these podcast episodes—I was like omg these need to be LMN stories too! (I think HBO did the Way Down but I want LMN to do it! Lol)
