Young mother Kelli discovers that her husband Ty has been leading a double life and is secretly married to another woman, Sasha. Kelli threatens to file charges against him, but Ty dies unexpectedly in a fiery car accident.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Inspired by real events

Kelli is trapped in a well, like she is baby Jessica from the 80s. She screams for help, but no one hears her.
Two weeks earlier. Kelli is a loving wife and mother whose husband is off on another work trip. Kellie likes yoga and matcha lattes —so how does she end up at the bottom of the well?

Ty, her husband, comes home and is surprised to find his wife has learned of his secret life with another woman. Ty explains that the woman is his OTHER WIFE. Her name is Sasha, and she is okay with that. Kelli kicks him out, but at least she packs a bag for him.

In Greenville, South Carolina, Ty tries to be with the other woman, but he freaks out when Kelli says she will go to the police and charge him with bigamy. Ty rushes back and gets into a car accident and dies.

Things get weird quick. Sasha shows up at the funeral and isn’t shy about confronting Kelli. Then, at the reading of the will, Kelli learns that the house, the kids, and Ty’s money are all going to Sasha. Kelli plans to contest the will, but that will take time —time she doesn’t have, since Sasha has already listed the house with a realtor.
Kelli’s kids miss their dad, and when Kelli takes all his photos down. The kids get sad, and her daughter sounds like she is talking to ty at night. But, he is DEAD. She later insists that her dad visited her in school. Kelli is convinced that her husband is alive and trying to ruin her life.
Social Services is called on Kelli, and before showing her house, it is trashed, and pills are strewn around. It doesn’t look good. Kelli goes to Greenville, SC, and confronts Sasha, who says she lost everything and is just returning the favor. Then she fakes an assault.
Sasha visits the kids at the playground, and Kelli freaks out on her, making herself look even more unstable. Sasha doesn’t think that Kelli is capable of raising kids, but Kelli throws the insults back and all but calls Sasha a barren loser.

Kelli moves her family in with her BFF, Maddy. Because the stress over the home sale and her daughter seeing dead people is too much. Then Kelli sees REAL DEAD people at the house. The realtor was murdered, and Kelli is the number one suspect. (She didn’t want to sell the house.)
Maddy takes care of the kids while Kelli digs and investigates Sasha at work. (Sasha is a dental hygienist.) I’m not sure why, but Maddy goes through with the teeth cleaning, hahhahahha?!?!?!?! Sasha chases after Maddy and pulls her out of her car before she can send the evidence she found on her mission.

Fake Maddy sends a message to Kelli, telling her to meet her in the middle of the woods.
Ty shows up and makes himself known. He has been working with Sasha to get rid of Kelli, take the kids, and start their life without her. The kids kind of just go along with what their dad says; the son, at least, wants to call his mom. Too bad she is stuck at the bottom of the well!

Kelli eventually climbs her way out and gets her revenge. First, she knocks Sasha out with a tea kettle and then fights with Ty. Kelli turns them against one another. Sasha was tired of being the other woman and made sure Kelli found out.

The police show up and arrest Ty, Kelli gets the kids and leaves with Maddy, who lives and sends for help.
STRAY Thoughts
The setting of Greenville was so fun because that is where my Podcast, Best Friends, lives and hosts an annual TV-movie meet-and-greet.

The use of ai in this movie was definitely something. I enjoyed it nonetheless though.
Wow. What’s up with the son calling the side piece/”wife” mom. That’s cold. Not very loyal huh?!
The second “wifey” had nerve. Mad she was a secret. She knew he already had real wife and kids but still played house him . She made her bed……….
Yes! Yes! Not even 10min in and I was like Finally! Finally! A real reaction to a husband caught out. It wasn’t like she wasn’t sad, but her anger was her top emotion. I felt how she confronted him in my soul. That other wife was trippin! I wanted a Waiting to Exhale fire moment so bad. I needed this to end well for her so badly and not so much for Sasha and Co. Gotta say 1/3 way through I called Agatha Christie plot type shenanigans. Her being able to keep her cool and not knocking out Ty and Sasha in the beginning showed some stellar strength. I was rooting for her so hard. Of course, I was so afraid for her friend. I would’ve never gone through with the teeth cleaning. Why didn’t she just leave out the back door? That wasn’t smart to me at all. Her son Luke is the real one. He wasn’t falling for any of it.
