When Kris Holland finds her husband Ritchie Kemp murdered in their home, her search for answers uncovers his secret life with another wife, Jennifer Dweck-and as she digs deeper into his deceptions, Kris realizes she’s being framed for his death and must uncover the truth before she becomes the next victim.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Jennifer and Kris sneak into a storage locker together and find a bag full of money and some files. They don’t seem upset about their husband dying at all!
Flash to five days earlier.

Kris’s bootylicious husband, Richie, has quit his job and tells her they can go on the trip they’ve always wanted, have a baby, and work remotely! Kris is surprised by the turnaround because Richie travels a lot for work. Those plans are put on pause when someone breaks into their home and shoots Richie while he is cooking dinner.
Wealthy other wife/mother Jennifer returns home and speaks cryptically to her butler about what needs to be done. (Implying she killed Richie?)

A detective (in his 5th Lifetime Movie this year) questions Kris if she knows why anyone would want to hurt him. The only thing she can think of is his job. He went on many covert missions. Secretly. Kris confides in her friend Brandy, but is she putting her in danger?

Richie’s sister, Cassie, shows up and says she has been taking care of Richie’s mother. Kris is surprised because Richie said his family all passed away. Cassie wants to help with the funeral arrangements. They lost contact after Richie cleared out the family money and left.
Richie, unsurprisingly, turns out to be a liar about his job. Kris starts breaking things and finds an alternative ID for Richie in South Carolina. It is there she meets the rich lady, Jennifer, who had no idea her husband was dead… oh, and married to another woman in Atlanta.

Jennifer introduces Kris to her baby, which seems kind of petty. Especially because Kris wanted to start a family with Richie. Then the wives begin comparing notes and realize that a guy named Troy married them both. It could be a good starting place.
Kris comes home, and an intruder attacks her and pulls a gun on her. They are looking for money and files, but Kris manages to fight him off and run to safety.
Jennifer invites Kris to go interrogate Troy with her and has little sympathy for Kris and the whole break-in thing. Richie wiped out Jennifer’s bank account and needs to get that money back. Kris wants answers, so they decide to work together. Troy isn’t much help.

Over some wine, they realize Richie was using a drop house to launder money and order his burner phones. There, they find the bill for a storage unit. Now we are back to the beginning of the movie, where they find the money and the files.
On their way back, Kris and Jennifer are followed by a black truck. Jennifer calls her butler, who is actually a security guard, to keep him off the estate. Kris and Jennifer count the money and talk about how boring the sex with Richie was.

The detective talks to Cassie and Richie’s mother, and he is easily bamboozled into thinking whatever Cassie wants him to. Cassie appears to be drugging the mother and might not be the sister after all. She is the THIRD wife, Brittney DeAngelo.
Brittney lures the other wives to her house and had been working with Richie on choosing marks and stealing their money. Brittney/Cassie had to kill her husband because he wanted to run off with Kris.
There is a struggle over a gun, and the two overpower Brittney/Cassie.

Fast-forward to a book tour: Kris and Jennifer have a best-selling novel. They lost a husband, but gained a BFF!

Patrick! You didn’t pour this up?! For Jennifer alone it deserved it. I just finished doing a Watch Party with some friends and we had so much fun with this. I thought it was good. I liked that I wasn’t sure if it was Brandi or the “sister” and was still suspicious about Brandi till the very end. I need there to be another movie with Jennifer and Kris as a crime solving/writing duo
A watch party sounds so fun!
Yeah. I live on the East Coast. Wintertime is the best time to have it. We get on Zoom, comfy in our own spaces and watch some Lifetime movies.
