Inspired by true events. When 18-year-old Lexi ages out of the foster care system and lies to get an au pair job, the dream family she is working for turns out to be a nightmare as she uncovers their twisted secrets. Rylee Reagan stars.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
The movie starts with a girl named Lexi being forced to sit in a rocking chair and take care of a baby.

Cut to a few weeks earlier, Lexi is an orphan who turns 18 and is kicked out of her housing, sent to a hostel, and out on the street. On her way out, Lexi overhears Blair talking about a couple looking for a live-in nanny. So, Lexi impersonates Blair and nails the interview with the seemingly perfect couple.

Chelsea and Daniel have a baby named Beau, and a beautiful house to move Lexi into, because she obviously lands the job, or there would be no movie! They randomly take pictures of Lexi and the baby before taking her up to her room. (Which doesn’t look particularly scary. No chains or anything.) Lexi even gets a work cellphone.
The couple is heard fighting in the middle of the night, and Lexi wonders what she has gotten herself into. Chelsea is very jealous and drunk. Lexi worries that Chelsea is violent with her husband. Lexi is used to the drama because her mother, Amber, is in jail.

Blair shows up at the house and is angry about Lexi stealing her job. Blair demands half of the salary, or she will tell the couple that Lexi lied about her resume. Lexi agrees, but that doesn’t stop Blair from taking a crystal vase as collateral.
Chelsea, of course, notices the vase is missing and deducts it from Lexi’s pay. Chelsea also notices a co-worker named Marcus flirting with Lexi and is quick to tell her husband that Lexi is a ho. That doesn’t deter Daniel from being awkward as hell around Lexi.

Daniel tracks Lexi’s phone and orchestrates a run-in. Lexi is on a date with Marcus and is surprised to see Daniel there, too. Daniel warns Lexi that Marcus has a bad reputation as a work womanizer. It sours her crush, and Lexi rides home with Daniel.

Instead of going home, Daniel takes Lexi up in his plane. He has his pilot’s license. He lets her fly the plane and gets a little too handsy.
Chelsea is already suspicious of Lexi, and when she finds letters from the state prison, she has a reason to fire her. FINALLY. Lexi explains that she might have lied, BUT she is a good person. So they let her stay.

While going to the basement to get some decorations, Lexi trips on a trip wire and she goes flying down the stairs and is knocked unconscious, leaving the baby unattended. Daniel finds her and takes Lexi to the hospital with a concussion and a broken ankle.

Mark argues with Chelsea because he asked HER to get the decorations. The booby trap was meant for his wife. So he hits her with a vase, not the fancy crystal one, and tells Lexi that Chelsea is out of town for a work trip. Lexi isn’t thrilled about a week alone with Daniel. She smartly calls Marcus to see if he knew about the trip, and Marcus says it is unplanned and sudden.
Lexi is starting to feel trapped and searches the house while Daniel goes out to get more baby formula. She finds Chelsea’s wedding ring and repositions all the cameras in the house. Daniel catches her and tells her they need trust to make the relationship work. Then he chloroforms her and ties her up. HERE are the chains.

Daniel watches Lexi on a baby monitor and explains that he had a special bond with Lexi because she has such a great relationship with his son. Chelsea never had the maternal instinct. He leaves Lexi in the basement with Chelsea’s body in a deep freezer.
Blair, who is missing this week’s check, breaks into the house to find Lexi. Lexi tries to warn Blair to get out of the house and call the cops, but Blair goes right to the basement. Daniel catches her and kills Blair, too.

Lexi’s mom is out of jail and visits her daughter. Daniel explains that Lexi left suddenly. He invites Amber inside, but she declines and instead follows his car the next time he leaves. (With Lexi in the car.)
Amber calls 911 and follows them to the airport. Daniel flies Lexi and Beau to an island, but she grabs his gun and threatens to shoot him if he doesn’t land the plane. There is turbulence, and Lexi knocks Daniel unconscious.

Lexi is going to have to land this plane on her own. Lexi does just that, saving the baby and herself. Daniel wakes up upon landing, but Lexi shoots him.

Lexi and Amber find Beau a good foster family. The end!
