Synopsis (via Lifetime)

After only three months of getting married to Leo, the marriage takes a treacherous turn as Sara discovers the truth behind his mysterious past.

Thoughts

A wedding video plays while someone cleans off a bloody knife. A woman in a white dress lays on the bed, stabbed to death.

Next, we see another wedding. (A JEWISH wedding! Mazel Tov!) The bride is named Sara, and the groom is Leo. Sara has a BFF named Parker, and a man of honor named Grayson, and he is fabulous. (I love him and am happy to see gays and Jewish peeps represented in this move in the first five minutes.) Everyone keeps mentioning how sudden the marriage happened but keeps dancing anyway. (Even when a creepy figure watches from the shadows.)

After the wedding, Leo tells Sara about his estranged sister, Daisy, who wasn’t invited to his wedding because the siblings got into an argument over their parent’s estate. Sara starts getting threatening phone calls saying, “he is not who you think he is.” Leo installs a security system.

Sara’s account gets hacked, and Grayson thinks it was Leo. Sara brings it up while Leo showers. (Thirsty Lifetime movie, but I appreciate it.) She also looks at Leo’s computer and finds a copy of her signature scanned on the computer. She breaks a wine glass, and Leo comes running out in a towel. Sara isn’t turned on by him and rejects his sexual advances that night. He pulls out a butcher knife, and she is terrified. Of wait, it is just a dream.

The next night a woman named Melinda shows up at Sara’s door. She is the woman who made the phone calls. Melinda warns Sara about Leo, and tells her that she is also his wife… but goes by Sam. Sara invites that bitch in to talk. Talk they do, Melinda had all her accounts drained, and when she discovered Sara was getting married, she hopped on a flight to make him pay for everything he took from her. Melinda will do whatever it takes; she gives Sara her number when she is ready to join her. It is merely a matter of time.

Like, the next scene. Sara and Melinda hire a PI to look into Leo/Sam. They track down another one of Leo/Sam’s girlfriend named Cindy. Cindy knows him as Alex. He stole from her too. Sara invites Cindy to stay with Sara while Leo is out of town. As she is getting ready for bed, Cindy wanders around the house looking for a phone charger. She heads down to her car to get one from there and sees someone in the house watching her from the window. Then they are behind her watching her set the alarm. It is suspenseful and scary!

The PI confirms that Leo has been linked to seven different aliases and is suspected of murder. (The woman from the beginning of the movie.) His REAL name is Randall. Melinda, Parker, and Sara hunker down for the night. It is going to be a long night.

Cindy is the first to go. She is murdered while looking for an extra pillow. The next morning, Melinda and Sara find the body and flee from the house. Sara’s co-worker, Kyle, joins her to a cabin in the middle of nowhere.

At the cabin, Kyle and Sara deliver on the sexual tension they’ve been building up all movie and make love. As they sleep, an intruder sets the thermostat up very high. Sara wakes up hot and goes to check on things but is almost kidnapped? Sara and Kyle sleep together on the couch with a fire poker.

BFF Parker shows up at the cabin, and Sara fills her in on everything. Parker has some secrets to share as well; she had Leo staying at her house and has Cindy’s necklace. Sara tries to tell Parker that Leo is crazy. Parker thinks that Sara is jealous, but eventually comes around to realizing she made a mistake

I’m not sure what is going on now. Everyone is in black wedding dresses, and Melinda has a gun. She demands to have her money back. Leo tries to reason with them all, but they don’t hear it. Kyle tackles Leo, and then the brides run around. The end of this movie is just a total mess, and I have no words to explain what the hell is going on. Basically, the three women attempt to fight with Leo, killing Parker by throwing her over a balcony. Then Leo tries to shoot the remaining two, but the gun is out of bullets, so he smiles like a psycho and strangles Sara. She stops him by coaching him with Cindy’s necklace. It is all too much.

The move wraps up three months later. Sara and Kyle are together, and Grayson is still adorable. Love it Love!
