Synopsis (via Lifetime)

Nurse Sarah Harwood has heard it all while watching over patients who reveal secrets while delirious under anesthesia. However, when one confesses to murders, she must figure out truth from hallucination as the patient tries to tie up loose ends.

Recap/Wine Thoughts

The movie starts with nurses! They throw a birthday party for the head nurse, who doesn’t want to celebrate. Sarah isn’t going to let that slide and throws a party anyway.

Sarah works the night shift and gets hit on by a guy recovering from appendicitis. His name is Jack, and he is a baker. He starts rambling about killing people and hiding them in the barn or something. Sarah is so over flirting, but blames it on his anesthesia.

While working late into the night, Sarah gets locked in the moruge, and another nurse, Tammy, rescues her. The incident reminds Sarah of the time she was attacked in the ER by a man with a knife. Lucky for Sarah, Jack feels better and is up walking around to comfort her.

Sarah calls the police, or maybe she is dating a guy named Mark? Mark agrees to look into “murders in barns,” but asks Sarah to chill out. We later find out they are exes.

Sarah should be nervous because Jack is STILL in the hospital, giving her necklacesand smelling her hair. The other nurses are jealous, but Jack’s roommate, David, is convinced he is going to kill him. The head nurse tells Sarah to enjoy the flirting while it lasts and not work so much. (Terrible advice, lady!)

David tries to escape Jack’s menacing behavior but falls and hits his head. He dies, and Jack survives, but goes back into surgery for an abscess. Sarah records him post-surgery and asks some pretty leading questions to get him to admit to murder while under anesthesia.

Sarah breaks into Jack’s bakery to look for body parts in the freezer, but just finds a shrine or something. Luckily, Mark shows up on the scene after Sarah triggers the alarm and lets her go. Sarah begs Mark to believe her. Then she is almost run off the road and goes to a bar to calm her nerves, BUT someone spikes her drink.

Mark and Sarah investigate because she is convinced something is going on at the barn. They find a footprint and a shady cowboy. He tells them to get a search warrant and go away.

Jack just waltzes into Sarah’s house and tells her that he was lying about the bakery and that he is actually a killer. Sarah says she isn’t afraid of him and has seen worse in the ER. Mark pulls up and scares Jack off.

Sarah confronts Jack in the bakery and tries to spook him into confessing. It doesn’t work, and Jack knocks Mark out in the hospital parking lot.

Jack stalks Sarah through the hospital hallways. Sarah eventually sticks him with a syringe and gets Jack to confess to everything. The killings, hiding bones in the bakery, and how the head nurse, who just had a birthday, is his Aunt!

The Aunt goes hard and tries to kill everyone with a knife, while Jack grabs a rolling pin and stops his Aunt from hurting anyone else. Then Mark jumps.

Sarah and Mark decided to date again. Oh, and she gets a promotion. The end!

STRAY Thought

So was Mark’s phone being in his pocket the whole movie a character choice or an actor’s faux pas?

If Jack really had a bakery, I’d go all the time!

  1. 22minutes in and that guy super creepy. Cute creepy, which are the worst ones. I mean they are all bad, but a cute one…what a waste. Need to see him in a Hallmark romance or something that is more normal. What I didn’t understand is why her Ex was apprehensive to look into what he told her. She gave so many particulars that matched a case he knew about. Hon, just say you can’t accept gifts from patients! Does this movie take place in the 90s, because her and her ex, dress like mid 90s. Why didn’t David use the call nurse button instead of trying to leave on his own, not a smart choice. As a female, the minute you walk away from your drink in a public place, you throw it out. And if you don’t feel well, stay in the crowded bar. Female 101. Can’t root for you, when you make silly mistakes. Gotta say, I did not see that twist coming!
