Synopsis (via Lifetime)

The Sheffield family deals with home truths as their middle child inherits the Foxworth mansion with the family’s ghosts ever-looming. The curse lives on, and more tragedies are in store.

Thoughts

Cathy and Christopher return to Foxworth manor, which is restored to its former glory. Speaking of glory, we see a beautifully ripped man in a towel. Bart, the buff hunk, is all grown up and is responsible for the renovations and intent on becoming Malcolm. Bart even changes his last name to Foxworth.

Jory and Cindy also visit the manor. Bart calls Cindy a slut when she arrives and holds that Cathy and Christopher are siblings over their heads. (Somehow Cindy doesn’t know.) Jory and his wife are expecting twins.

At the gala, Cindy dresses in a sexy red dress, and Bart demands that she change. When he grabs her arm, she slaps him and says that she hates him. (Since this is VC Andrews, it is weird sexual tension.) Cindy and Jory dance to entertain the guests. It is a legitimate performance! I was impressed. Bart is not. A stage set piece falls on Jort and crushes him, sending him to the hospital and ruining the night. He snaps his spinal cord and will never dance again. Earlier in the night, Cindy heard Bart talking on the phone to an insurance company and upping the policy.

With his brother in the hospital, Bart seduces his pregnant wife, Melodie. They have sex right before Jory comes home in his wheelchair. Bart installs an elevator for his brother to make him feel better for continuing to sleep with his wife. Cathy notices the inappropriate relationship and is throwing rocks at glasshouses.

At the reading of the will (of Corinne), the family learns that Christopher will continue to control the estate. Bart will inherit everything when he turns 35 unless he is institutionalized.

Jory realizes that his wife doesn’t love him anymore and cheating on him with his brother. He drives his wheelchair into the pool. Christopher saves him from drowning. Melodie apologizes and says she lost sight of what was important, their family. She still tries to hook up with Bart on the side.

At Christmas dinner, Cindy’s boyfriend Lance comes over, and they have sex in the attic. Bart pulls Lance off his sister and beats him while his pants are around his ankles. (We see some booty here, which is different for Lifetime.) Cindy cries to her parents.

Bart goes to his creepy prayer room and does some bloodletting on a bible. It is intense. Then he has sex with random girls who remind him of Cindy.

Melodie goes into labor on Christmas morning right after Bart tells everyone that she is “a whore.” After she has the babies, she wants nothing to do with them. She leaves a note and leaves in the middle of the night, never to return.

Cindy sneaks out in the middle of the night too. She goes to a bar and makes out with a hunk. Bart follows her and confronts her in the woods. They have sex in the woods, and Bart tells her to pray to save her soul. Cindy leaves immediately for Paris, regretting her decision.

Jory hires a nanny to help with the kids, and Bart seduces her too. Can this man seduce me? Like how do I get in this movie? It is messed up because Bart ruins everyone’s happiness. Bart has nightmares and stops things with the nanny, and calls her a bitch.

Bart holds a baptism for the twins and almost kills them. Cathy sedates Bart to calm him down. Christopher buys a new house and plans to get Jory and the twins out of the house. Bart has other plans.

Bart won’t let Cathy commit him into a mental institution and holds her at knifepoint. Jory comes barreling in and almost strangles his brother to death. Cathy stops him and leaves Bart in Foxworth alone.

The family waits outside for Christopher to pick them up, but he dies in a car crash. He stopped to help a woman change her tire.

Bart speaks at Christopher’s funeral, and everyone leaves Foxworth Hall to flourish. Bart and Cindy get married and become evangelical TV personalities, Jory and the nanny teach dance. Cindy returns to the attic where it all began.

Side Note

James Maslow is incredibly sexy. Even when he is playing a terrible person, it actually makes him hotter?

  1. I *think* at the end, Cathy actually dies in the attic. It just wasn’t made abundantly clear. No happy endings allowed.
