Eva is part of an online community called DOES HE BELONG TO ANYONE?, where women can openly share stories of their negative dating experiences with specific men in order to warn others who might be interested in dating the same person. After perusing the thread for a guy she’s currently interested in, Eva finds a post about her ex-fianc Will, where in multiple women accuse him of harassment and aggressive behavior. Horrified, she screenshots and shares the post with Will, demanding an explanation for the accusations. Will brushes the post off and insists the women are simply scorned and Eva accepts this, not wanting to believe Will is capable of what the women are saying. But when one of the posters goes missing not long after Eva shared the screenshot, she wonders if the stories about Will might be true… Mary Antonini, and Shane Marriott star (2025).
Recap/Wine Thoughts
The movie starts with a girl at home avoiding calls from someone named Mike. He keeps harassing her, and then someone bangs on her back door, and she is attacked. Her name is Brooke Adams, and she is reported missing.

Eva is over dating and the apps. There just aren’t any good guys in Chicago! Her BFF Jess tells Eva about a new dating group called “Does He Belong to Anyone?” It is an app where women can post about guys they have dated and red flags they noticed. Eva is intrigued!
Rayna invites Eva for brunch and has her son, Will, crashes the date. Eva gives him another chance because they used to date and lets Will walk her home. They realize they live next to one another and laugh about the coincidence. Jess tells Eva that it was an ambush and she shouldn’t fall for her ex AGAIN!!!!

Eva continues to go on dates and spots Will arguing with a woman on the street. She feels like she dodged a bullet. Then, in the middle of the night, someone buzzes Eva’s door. It creeps her out, and she puts her chain on the door.

Rayna’s birthday party is an intimate affair. Rayna and Mia are old friends; their children are friends by default. Things haven’t been the same since Will and Eva broke up, and it makes for an awkward evening. It gets even stranger when the woman from the other night, the one that Will was arguing with—her name is Zuri—shouts at Eva while she is taking out the trash to, ” Stay away from her man!” (Later, Eva gets threatening phone calls from blocked numbers.)
Will laughs off the incidents and apologizes to Eva. Will explains that Zuri is a jilted ex-girlfriend. He invites Eva and Jess over to play cards, and they agree. Then Zuri shows up and causes a scene. Eva confronts Will and asks him if he did something to Zuri. When he claims Zuri is stalking him, Eva helps him send a cease-and-desist letter and get an order of protection against his ex.

Then Jess finds someone named Mike S. on Does He Belong to Anyone? and thinks it is Will. Jess tells Eva, but Eva doesn’t want to believe it. Eva wants to tell Will, but that would go against everything the group stands for.
Will continues to be harassed by Zuri, and he shows Eva what has happened. The “Does He Belong to Anyone?” post goes around his office, and he worries that he will be fired. Will says that it isn’t him and that it is defamation. He begs Eva to help him get the post

Eva learns Will didn’t file a police report and tells him she won’t help him if he doesn’t build a case. Eva tries to call the website and get the post removed. Then, Eva meets with some women who commented on the posts and learns that this Mike S person has tried to roofie dates and made people feel uncomfortable. When Eva shows them a clean-cut picture of Will, they don’t think it is the same man, plus Mike S has tattoos and talks in a southern accent.
Letting her guard down, Eva spends more and more time with Will.

Eva gets a call from someone to stop looking into things. The caller has a Southern accent. Then, Eva’s apartment gets broken into, and they trash the place and spray paint it with “Final Warning.” Eva calls the police AND Will. He is hesitant to talk to the police but tells them about Zuri being his stalker ex-girlfriend.
At “Does He Belong to Anyone?” headquarters, Eva volunteers to help as a crisis counselor. She was having terrible nightmares about the missing woman and wants to help ease her consciousness. She is fired and blocked from the group when screenshots are posted online.
Then Eva goes to Rayna’s gala event and runs into Tori, one of the users who knew Mike S. Eva sees Will confronting Tori and intervenes. Tori thinks Will is Mike S and is really rattled. When Eva presses Tori, Tori says she has to work. Will buys a necklace at an auction, but Eva can’t accept it. She tells Will she can’t trust him or be his lawyer since Zuri is now officially missing.

Eva meets up at Will’s place, and they have some wine; she wakes up the next morning feeling terrible and finds sedatives in his pantry. She does a swifty search on her phone and learns the drug is prescribed for insomnia.

I’m unsure how, but Eva tracks Zuri’s phone down to Mike S’s house. She hears Zuri calling for help, but it is a Bluetooth speaker. Will shows up, and it is clear he has been Mike S. all along. He chases her into the basement and talks about living his new life to service women. He created Mike S so he could be the jerk he was meant to be. Living a double life has caught up to him.

Eva tells him that she understands the pressure his mother has put on him. The police burst in and arrest Will. Eva watches him go and Jess is there to help her friend. Eva testifies against Will and wants to do more cases to help women.
Stray Thoughts
It didn’t seem like Eva liked Will, so the movie didn’t have any stakes.
What was with the Christmas lights?
Jess was a good best friend, and I’m so happy she didn’t die.

This one was awful! Actors performances were strong but the story was incredibly weak and felt rushed. Very predictable too! Definitely put a cork in this one!
