When Maria Menounos’ character gets tired of paying for high-priced margaritas in the big city, she high-tails back to Ferguson Falls, her hometown, where National Margarita Day is a big deal at the local Chili’s — and so is an encounter with a former significant other, played by actor Taye Diggs. “I’ll Be Home for National Margarita Day,” a collaboration between Chili’s Grill & Bar and Lifetime. The 15-minute rom-com will debut at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.

When Maria Menounos gets home, her mother asks her to go to Chili’s for yummy food. Taye Diggs is Chili’s bartender and is getting ready for Feb 22nd, the BIG holiday. It’s too bad the community center is getting shut down on the holiday, too, and Taye Diggs won’t be able to put on the annual Margarita Day talent show!!!
With only three days until the big event, Taye Diggs works with Maria Menounos’s mom to put on the talent show in Chili’s parking lot. Maria Menounos helps Taye Diggs get ready with a montage, and then they make SEXY Margaritas.
1 Day until National Margarita Day, and Maria Menounos is growing closer to Taye Diggs. So is her mother, who is the one with the bad guy shutting down the community center. When Maria Menounos confronts her mother, it doesn’t go well. They scream about BIG CITY DREAMS!
Taye Diggs tells Maria Menounos about his special Margarita tree while he caresses a lime. Maria Menounos finds a legal loop hole that stops the bad guy from tearing down the community center because of the lime trees!!
The new friends/old flames celebrate National Margarita Day together, and they KISS. Maria Menounos decides to stay in town and loves Chili’s!!!
The movie ends with a kyron about Taye Diggs and Maria Menounos’s life post-movie.
