Stylist Kim is happily married to her husband, John. On the way to a company event, John raves over a new co-worker named Grant, and when Kim meets him, she is shocked to realize it’s her ex-boyfriend. Unwilling to spoil John’s excitement, Kim and Grant keep their history a secret. When Kim’s husband, John, sees her and Grant out together one day, he becomes consumed by jealousy and confronts Kim, but she brushes him off. Unable to get over it, John arrives home to find Grant on the sofa with Kim, and in a fit of rage kills Grant. Worried that they will be implicated in the murder, Kim directs John to impersonate Grant in a desperate coverup that spirals into obsession. Starring Chaley Rose, B. J. Britt, and Anthony Dalton II (2024).
Recap/Wine Thoughts

Kim Revelle is a former fashion editor turned social media influencer. She has a husband that she treats as an accessory, John. (I feel like John is bisexual.) Kim tells John he has a mancrush on a guy named Grant, like she has a “womancrush” on her personal assistant, Raven.

Grant is a very handsome former athlete, and it seems like everyone has a crush on him and his clashing patterns. Kim isn’t impressed and used to date Grant in college. Grant is very cocky and egotistical. John tries to emulate Grant’s style, which annoys Kim because she has been trying to elevate his style for years.
At Kim’s studio, Grant shows up for a fitting and ends up seducing her. Kim talks about how it is a bad idea as it is happening, but she does it anyway. John catches them leaving the studio together and is understandably jealous. (He wanted to hook up with Grant first!) He confronts Kim, and she knows he knows.

John comes home and finds Kim and Grant sitting in the living room. They have something they want to tell him (they used to date), and it sends John into a rage. He uses Grant’s scarf against him, and Grant passes out. Kim uses the incident to her advantage. She literally sticks a needle in his eye, killing him. It is so grotesque. (Too much for Lifetime, ew, no.)

Kim convinces John that he killed Grant and forces him to drag the body into the woods in the backyard and bury him. John drives Grant’s car to his house and retrieves the mail to make it appear as though John is still alive. Meanwhile, Kim burns pictures of her and Grant from college. A nosey neighbor sees them from her bedroom window, so they aren’t as sneaky as they think.
The couple continues the cover-up, purchasing items with Grant’s phone online and accessing his work computer. The nosey neighbor asks Kim about her making a fire and seeing someone in the backyard, but Kim explains it away.

John has a glow up, and now everyone is horny for him now. Everyone except Kim, who still thinks about Grant. Kim shows John how to make love to her like Grant did. John isn’t up to the task, even though he starts wearing Grant’s scarf.

A girlfriend of Grant’s, Carla, starts texting him and says that she misses him. Kim pretends to be Grant, and they start sexting. Kim tries to prevent the girl from visiting, but it appears the relationship is more serious. Carla shows up as an unwelcome surprise. She chases Grant’s car, waving, but it is just Kim in disguise.
Carla waits outside of Grant’s apartment and is surprised to see John going into his place. John has changed and is just as cocky and egotistical as the man she is looking for. Carla tells John that they were sexting just days ago, and Grant wouldn’t just ghost. They call “Grant,” and John insists it is over. Carla is not taking no for an answer, and it is clear she is going to be a problem.
Kim takes care of Carla and then goes home and role plays with her husband. He pretends she is Raven, and she pretends he is Grant.

The next morning, Kim acts as if nothing has changed and makes eggs. She calls John “Grant,” and he gets distraught. Kim gaslights John into believing that she really thinks he is Grant and has never been John. John has a full-on mental breakdown. Grant goes into the woods to dig up the body.

The police show up and arrest John, who has fully cracked. Kim drives away wearing a furry pink jacket.
