Kayleigh Brooks (Chelsea Rose Cook) is a driven, no-nonsense digital advertising executive who thrives on competition, while her counterpart, Darren Morgan (Austen Jaye), is a laid-back strategist with a creative flair. Their boss, Monique (Vivica A. Fox) puts them together to come up with a fun and festive spin on a holiday sales pitch for their top client, Santa’s Pajamas. Sparks fly—not only in the office but in their rivalry to nail the pitch. Kayleigh wants it all, and Alex is determined to win—no matter the cost. As they battle it out, their personal lives collide with their professional ambitions, and neither expects that the key to success might just be each other. From a Christmas Toy Drive to a family dinner full of surprises where Kayleigh introduces Darren to Denise (Jackée Harry), her mom, the two clash and connect in a series of moments that are both funny and heartfelt. But when their competition turns into something more, will their growing feelings for each other survive the pressure?
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Ms. Vivica A. Fox is running a business, hoping to land the BIG account. Santa’s Pajamas. She asks the up-and-coming all-star, Kayleigh, to land the Christmas Campaign. Kayleigh doesn’t have things all together at home. Her boyfriend breaks up with her suddenly, causing her to chug wine and pout.
Darren, a new hire at the firm, is working on landing the Santa’s Pajamas. He is a social media aggregator and a MAN, so he will get what the client is selling, as Santa’s Pajamas is for men only? (Like, Santa only?) The new co-workers go to a bar and order the reindeer coco. They have different views on the campaign and are doing the whole love-hate thing.
After stalking each other on social media, Darren and Kayleigh argue about the campaign, leaving their co-workers feeling super awkward. Ms. Vivica A. Fox pops in and offers Kayleigh a promotion, as long as the campaign is successful.
Kayleigh has a change of heart for the sake of her pending promotions and begs Darrent to work with her on the campaign. Her ex-boyfriend also wants to get back together, which is making her extra stressed.
Darren shoots some hunks in Santa’s Pajamas, while Kayleigh does a focus group. The hunks win out.
More reindeer coco is drunk at the strangely lit bar, where Darren talks about being raised by his grandparents after his parents died. Kayleigh is impressed and charmed by his ability to open up.
Meredith Thomas hosts a talk show and has Santa hunk as guests. The Santa Pajama goes viral online, and Darren hopes it will pay off in sales.
Darren goes to Kayleigh’s family Christmas and talks her up. He drops her off at home and overhears Kayleign talking to Jack, her ex, who is giving her key back and wishing her well. He takes it the totally wrong way, which just comes out of nowhere. Like, dude.
The campaign is a success, and Kayleigh gets the promotions, but Darren resigns. Kayleigh rushes after him to stop him from quitting. He explains why he quit, because of Jake/Jack, whatever his name is.
Ms. Vivica A. Fox takes him back, and so does Kayleigh, but we really just care about Ms. Vivica A. Fox, let’s be real.

David DeCoteau Christmas is always WILD.
Ms. Vivica A Fox has a fox tattoo? I might have known this, but it was fun to see.
