Synopsis (via Lifetime)

A charming but devious man conspires to bilk a wealthy veterinarian of her money.

Thoughts

Karen, a hacker, looks in the mirror and obsesses over herself in the mirror; she also obsesses over a man named Jacob. They are undercover for a year and trying to get their hands on a multimillion-dollar fortune.

Cut to BRUNETTE AND PIXIE cut Ashley Scott playing April. She takes care of her family and sister, Riley. April drops her son off at her mother’s, Clara, and heads to a high school reunion. She runs into Jacob, who charms her with his British accent and high school memories. They slow dance. Meanwhile, Karen hacks into April’s computer and steals blueprints to Clara’s house.

The couple continues to plot and meet up in secret. Karen is still obsessed with to the point of psychotic.

Meanwhile, April and her ex Chuck argue about an article that Clara is writing. Karen gets a job as Chuck’s assistant, so she has access to all of his files. She also tampers with his wifi. (Which is pure evil.) Karen also seduces a co-worker and drugs him to get even more access to files.

April invites Jacob over for dinner with her family, and it goes very well! It is also overly fancy for a birthday party. Jacob snoops around while in the bathroom and finds a home security system that he hacks. Karen pushes Clara down the stairs as she is getting ready for bed. Then she sees her husband with another woman and results to taking a swig of a flask.

Detectives look into the fall and suspect that foul play could be involved. When April tells Chuck, he is less than sympathetic. He calls someone shadily on the phone. (Like looking over his shoulder and stuff.) Riley also notices Jacob acting strangely. (Taking phone calls outside and sneaking out in the middle of the night.) Karen continually calls her husband, freaking out. He meets with her, and Riley follows him seeing him on a date with another woman.

Riley confronts Jacob in front of April, which is honestly the smartest thing to do. Jacob explains that Karen is his drug-addicted sister. April buts the lies. Riley does not; she recruits her cutie boyfriend to help her look into Jacob.

Jacob goes to Chuck’s house and drugs him. Then he puts on gloves and stages a suicide. Chuck has a funeral, and Jacob stands by April’s side. Much to the frustration of Karen, who writes “Pretty Bitch” in lipstick on the mirror.

Riley and her hunky boyfriend see Karen in a picture and realize she is up to no good. They try to warn April, but she is not listening to her sister. April confronts Jacob, and he tells her that Karen is his “old girlfriend.” Then Karen shows up with a gun. Haha! (Of course, she does!) Karen wants to know if Jacob will pick her or April.

Karen shows April that she is married to Jacob and kills him. Then she blames April and screams, “It’s all your fault, you stupid bitch!) Then she points the gun at April and tells her that they were a happy couple until she came along. April apologizes. Hunky Riley’s boyfriend, who is the perfect boyfriend, saves April and apprehends Karen until the police arrive. Karen cries, “He loved me.” over and over, which is sad.

April and her son go to France randomly. The end!
