A small-town photographer (Sustad) saves the life of a mysterious man (Ghanimé), who may just be in town to buy her family’s parkland – which is also the location of the annual Christmas celebration. Starring Kimberley Sustad and Mark Ghanimé.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Ceci looks for shells on a rocky beach with her class. She wears an elephant necklace to remember her father. She helps them take photos with their phones for Christmas cards. She gets a call and rushes to pick up a friend named Penny to track someone. They work for the Harmony Bay Harold and are writing a story about a town dog thief. (It must be a slow news day!)
Across town, Hunk Sam works in a fancy office at his father’s company. He has a sassy co-worker/Cousin named Ella who gives Sam a letter with an elephant stamp that came in the mail. Sam rushes off. He rides his motorcycle to Harmony Bay.
Ceci cancels a local event, To All A Good Night, that her father used to put on for the town. She is grieving him and doesn’t need the stress. They see Sam on the motorcycle, and her gets into an accident. Ceci talks to him until the paramedics arrive and promises to visit him in the hospital. When he sees her Elephant necklace, he asks her to marry him if he lives, and then he passes out.
Ceci brings him some get-well elephant balloons and a hamburger at the hospital. She sets up the stuff in his room and sees a text message about land acquisition coming in. Then, she rushes out without meeting Sam and asks around town for more info about Sam. She thinks he is going to build condos in the local forest preserves.
We learn that the letter Sam. received was from Ceci’s father. They served together in the military.
Penny and Ceci interview Sam for the paper and to get more insight. Ceci takes off her elephant necklace so he won’t remember her. He asks them to find the woman who saved him and asks them to include it in the story they are writing.
Sam and Ceci spend the majority of the movie doing odds and ends. While trying to learn more about one another. Her elephant necklace is finally revealed, and Sam tells Ceci that he has no interest in her father’s land but is going to develop a resort for families nearby.
Ceci takes Sam to her father’s wood. He tells her that losing a loved one by the holidays is tough, but she doesn’t have to do it alone. Ceci’s stepmother shows up and demands to host the event. Ceci has been suspicious that their stepmother would sell the woods, and she is! To Ceci for $1.
The klepto dog finds the letter that brought Sam to Willow Glen. Ceci confronts him, and Sam shares that he met her father when he was a down-and-out soldier in Italy. Her father has sent him letters for Christmas every year. This year, he asked Sam to marry her. The stepmother sent the letter.
Ceci doesn’t forgive Sam for keeping all of this a secret and talks to her stepmother. And feel better.
Sam lets his cousin take over the business and plans to stay in Willow Glen and help run the Christmas Goodnight event. (Which is literally decorating a tree in the woods.)

Ceci was hypocritical because she did not reveal who she was. It didn’t make sense why she did that. Then, she had the audacity to be upset that he wouldn’t tell her how he knew her father. That part of the plot was weak.
