Synopsis (via Hallmark)

When Olivia (Krakow), a successful interior designer, finds an old letter from Santa promising she’ll meet the love of her life by Christmas Eve—and that his name will be Nick—she’s stunned to meet not one, but three guys named Nick (Ayres, Russell, Szarka). As she navigates these holiday romances, Olivia also finds herself drawn to her charming co-worker, Chris (Lissing), throwing her magical Christmas quest into question. With the clock ticking toward Christmas Eve, Olivia embarks on a heartwarming and humorous journey to uncover her true soulmate

Recap/Wine Thoughts

Kids sisters Olivia and Darcy make a Christmas wish to Santa. They ask him to help Olivia find her one true love. Alternatively, they wish for him to at least send the name.

Flash forward 25 years later, Olivia thrives in all aspects of her life. She works on a home redesign show and is working towards being an on-camera talent. The network hires a trashy reality producer, Chris Davis, to help Olivia with her Christmas special. Chris has a home reno show called Model Home, where Models do reno work and date. If it goes well, Olivia will get her own series.

Upset and flustered, Olivia jumps into a car she thinks is her rideshare. She unloads all her problems on who she thinks is her driver. It turns out to be Chris Davis. Chris Davis takes Olivia to her dilapidated childhood home. He has purchased it to remodel the home.

Olivia is embarrassed and goes to talk to her sister. They find the old letter to Santa. It lights up with Christmas magic. It tells Olivia that her true love’s name is Nick. Olivia doesn’t have time for Christmas magic and throws the letter in her purse.

The next day, she bumps into a handsome man in a coffee shop. They accidentally swap drinks. His name is Nick A. Olivia laughs it off as a coincidence. Then she bumps into another handsome man and spills her drink all over him. She gives him a sweater, and he puts his number in her phone; his name is Nick B. Olivia steps off the street and is almost hit by a car but is rescued by a man named… Nick C.

Darcy is thrilled for her sister and helps her set up dates with all three of them.

Nick A rents out an ice-staking rink and is a pediatric brain surgeon. He thinks Olivia has the cutest laugh ever, and I’d beg to differ. A bottle of Champagne almost ruins the romantic vibes by popping off and hitting Nick A in the eye. He has to go to the hospital.

Back on set, Olivia and Chris aren’t getting along any better. He wants Olivia to do the renos on camera and questions all of her design choices.

Olivia and Darcy go to an antique woodworking shop and are surprised to learn that Nick B. owns the shop. His grandfather throws the town Christmas festival, and he seems perfect on their date. Olivia and Nick B run into Chris, who is also on a date. Olivia and Chris throw snowballs for a festival game. Olivia gets too competitive and overshoots her shot, knocking Nick B unconscious. (I’m sensing a trend here!)

Olivia meets Nick C for their date, and he is dressed like a stripper fireman. Nick C poses for the town Fire Fighter calendar and is a big dumb jock. Olivia gives Nick C a Santa cookie, which has almonds in it, triggering his nut allergy. He is taken away by paramedics.

Olivia and Darcy are freaked out by all the bad things happening. Then, the Santa letter glows again and tells them that Olivia must choose the right Nick by midnight on Christmas Eve.

CUE A DATING MONTAGE!!!!!!!!!

At her childhood home, Olivia looks through old things in the attic and finds old Christmas decorations. They bring back a lot of memories; Olivia’s parents have both passed away. Chris loves looking through Olivia’s old things and becomes inspired. Olivia is inspired, too, and wants to wrap the house with a big red bow. (Ummm, what?!)

Olivia continues to date the Nicks, but his chemistry with Chris is poppin’!!!! He makes a romantic sleigh ride set for Olivia to give her back a sense of Christmas tradition. Complete with a snow machine show. Olivia thanks Chris for the thoughtfulness.

Olivia starts to zone out on her dates and isn’t fully present. Nick A sets up some romantic mistletoe on their date for them to kiss under, and Olivia goes for it. (Is she going to mack on all these guys? Hallmark!)

Olivia recaps her feelings and confusion over liking Chris to her sister. Then, suddenly, the letter starts glowing again. Olivia has to make her decision.

All of Nicks show up for the TV special shooting day, and Olivia is overwhelmed. They realize they are all dating the same woman and ruin the filming by fighting over her in the yard with inflatable candy canes. They want her to choose which Nick will be on live TV. Olivia can’t pick and is only really upset when Chris storms off set and tells her she ruined something special.

The social media response is through the roof, generating much publicity for the network. Olivia gets her own show, and The Nicks get a dating show. Olivia realizes that Chris is her Christmas dream man. She rushes to stop him from leaving town at the train station.

Darcy locks her keys in the car. The sisters ride a one-horse open sleigh to the train station. It was left over from the shoot. Chris buys his ticket and stops to talk to a Santa-looking fellow. (He swaps the ticket out with a Santa letter.)

Olivia rushes through the train station just before midnight and is surprised that Chris didn’t board his train. He shows her the letter, and they apologize to one another. Then they almost make out as an intercom call comes through for Nick Davis. Chris goes by his middle name. Now they make out as snow falls. Yay!
