A murder leads a newly pregnant mom-to-be to discover her IVF procedure may not have come from her husband, and someone will stop at nothing to keep her from discovering who the real father is.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
The movie starts with a dead body, as most Lifetime Movies do!

Next, we arrive at a gated community with mansions and Teslas everywhere. A young couple, Jennifer and her rich son Spencer, come unannounced. They are expecting a baby but haven’t made the big announcement yet. The mother-in-law, Annabell, isn’t a fan of Jenn because she is low class and she eloped with her son.

Jennifer nervously gives Annabel a gift. What do you get the woman who has everything? Spencer wants to announce the baby at the lavish party, but Jennifer doesn’t like the attention. The party is in full swing, and Spencer’s cousin Marcus and his wife Carrie are there. Spencer is annoyed with his cousin for lying about being a doctor. Their mothers also have a rivalry. Annabell and her sister Vanessa are some frosty bitches. LOTS of family drama.

As the party continues, Marcus gives Jenn an envelope and acts shady. Jen stuffs the envelope in her purse and forgets all about it. She asks Carrie if her husband is alright, but the conversation gets sidetracked. Jennifer accidentally tells Carrie that she is pregnant through IVF. It doesn’t matter because Spencer announces the pregnancy against her wishes. (Which is so messed up!)
Shockingly, Jennifer handles it way better than I would have! Jennifer calmly has a conversation with her husband. Everyone congratulates them, and Vanessa offers to plan the baby shower! It is all overwhelming, so Jennifer steps outside for some fresh air and finds Marcus dead at the bottom of the stairs. They try to revive him, and it is all super melodramatic. (The zipping of the body bag was especially hilarious.)
Detective interviews party attendees. They suspect there could have been some jealousy from Spencer because Marcus got a prominent family job over him. It doesn’t look good, and Jennifer accuses him of lying to the police and saying he was close to Marcus. She also tells her husband about the envelope and Marcus’s strange behavior.

Jennifer and Carrie sit down and cry over Marcus’ death. Then, Jennifer remembered the paper Marcus had given her. It is a fertility test, and the IVF baby isn’t Stephen’s because he is sterile. Jennifer talks with Dr. Clark and shows him the test results that Marcus gave her. The doctor confirms that Spencer is not the father, and he doesn’t know who the father is. He blames his age for the mix-up. He promises to figure out who the donor is.
Instead of going to Spencer, Jenn keeps the test results from him and works with Carrie to uncover the truth. They look through Marcus’ phone and find messages. Jenn calls the number, and they get a text: “Whoever this is, STAY OUT OF IT!”

Carrie and Jenn go to the fertility clinic to find medical records. Carrie distracts the receptionist while Jenn looks through PAPER files. (Haha! No doctor uses paper anymore.) Carrie must have a complete meltdown to give Jenn enough time to search and find two files locked in a desk. One file is for Susana Barkley. The other file is for the mystery donor. Dr. Clark notices the missing files.
Jenn confronts Dr. Clark again; this time, he is less calm and collected. Jenn accuses him of firing the nurse who knew about the mixed-up files.

Spencer suddenly wants to leave town, but Jenn tells him that she needs to stay to help Carrie grieve. Jenn goes to a coffee shop and sees Annabel with Dr.Clark’s new nurse, who is also Annabel’s Goddaughter and funded her way through nursing school.
When Jenn comes home, she finds someone rummaging through her closet and locks herself in the bathroom. Spencer sees her, and she tells him someone is in the house. He checks it out, and everything is fine. (Or was HE the one searching for something?) Jenn can’t trust anyone in the house and is snooping through files in Spencer’s father’s home office. (Something about a baby picture of Marcus and a ballerina named Sandra, having a baby, or something. Could Annabel be harboring a deep, dark family secret?)
Carrie invites Jenn over to figure things out, but someone attacks her on her doorstep and leaves a threatening note.

Jenn decides to meet with the nurse who was fired. There is a lot of texting back and forth, and it is maybe the longest text chain I have ever seen portrayed in a Lifetime Movie.
Dr. Clark packs a bag while chugging whiskey. Someone sneaks up behind him and shoots him dead. This is where the movie started with the dead body. Jenn finds Dr. Clark dead on the ground and calls 911.

Jenn decides she has to tell Vanessa what is going on because she is the only person she can trust. Vanessa makes some tea and explains that she had an affair with Annabel’s husband and got pregnant with his child. Spencer and Marcus are half-siblings.
Absent the whole movie, Spencer suddenly wants to meet up with Jenn alone and away from the mansion. His mother, Annabell, orchestrated the entire IVF switch so her son could have a baby. Jenn tries to sneak out of the mansion, but Annabel stops her and calls an impromptu family meeting.
The threatening messages were all from Annabel. She killed Dr. Clark before he could tell anyone, well, he told Marcus. When Jenn tries to call the police, Annabel pulls out a gun on them. Annabel says she is tired of keeping up a sham marriage anymore, and always knew about her husband’s infidelity. Spencer and his father try to calm Annabel down, but she has killed once and isn’t afraid to kill again.
In a flashback, we see Annabel pushing Marcus down the stairs in a rage.

Annabel shoots her husband, and while struggling over the gun, she falls down the stairs and ironically dies the same way Marcus died. The police arrive and arrest Spencer. Jen tells him that the marriage is over.

Jenn has the baby, Carrie and Vanessa help her hold the baby while talking about how much he looks like Marcus. Jenn asks them to be involved in the baby’s life.
