A couple receives a baby boy before Christmas with a note meant for them. While temporarily caring for him during the holiday rush, they navigate their relationship, careers, and the foster-to-adopt process.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Kelly and Erin are LESBIANS!!!!!!!!!
They are hosting their families for Christmas and are both multitasking a million things well, because they are lesbians, and that is how it works! (I’ve never met a lazy lesbian.) They are cat-sitting, throwing a gala, making props and sets for the Christmas play, and taking care of an abandoned baby!!!!!
Someone left baby Nicholas at Erin’s store with a note saying they would do a better job caring for the child. Kelly is in the middle of her Gala speech when she sees Erin waltz in with a BABY!
Barbara Nevin is playing the role of a social services worker, who shows up to take the abandoned baby to the hospital and place him with a foster family. At the hospital, there is a really hot male nurse who distracts me for a bit, but eventually the lesbians get temporary custody. Their mothers show up for the holiday and immediately fall in love with the baby.
The noise-sensitive neighbor is annoyed that there is a baby nextdoor. It is either the baby crying or the sounds from the woodshop.
After the baby gets placed with a foster home, Kelly and Erin are surprised to learn they have baby fever and are upset the Christmas baby is gone. They ask Barbara Nevin to get the baby back, and she comes through with temporary placement.
The noise-sensitive neighbor ends up babysitting while the mothers go to work and meet with lawyers for full custody. The home inspection doesn’t go as planned. They charm him anyway.
Eventually, Nicholas’ mom comes, gives her approval to the moms-to-be, and apologizes to them for leaving the baby anonymously.
Side Note/Stray Thoughts
Barbara Nevin is not being an angel is the only flaw in this movie.
Candace Cameron Bure is going to be so mad this movie exists.
