A Lover Scorned
Premieres: August 2, 8/7c on Lifetime
Stars: Emilie de Ravin, Leo Howard, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
Synopsis (Via Lifetime)
Neglected housewife Brooke meets younger insurance salesman Jake and a steamy love affair ensues. Unsuspectingly Brooke is lured into a bloody plan of murder. As she unravels her partner-in-crime’s sociopathic tendencies, she’s forced to play the game of ultimate deception or become a victim herself.
Thoughts
Is this what Claire Littleton from Lost’s career has come to? Based on this stupid description with buzz words like “bloody” and “steamy.” I’m going to have to “Put a Cork in It.”

Love and Sunshine
Premieres: August 3rd, 9/8c on Hallmark Channel
Stars: Danica McKellar and Mark Deklin.
Synopsis (Via Hallmark)
Ally Craig has been fostering retired military dog, Sunshine, as she recovers from a broken engagement. But sparks fly again when Sunshine’s military partner, Jake Terry, returns to claim the dog.
Thoughts
Trailer can be viewed here. Winnie Cooper, dogs, veterans with too much botox? How could you not “Pour it up!”

Dark Angel
Premieres: August 3, 8/7c on Lifetime
Stars: Annalise Basso, Kelly Rutherford, Jason Priestley
Synopsis (Via Lifetime)
“Dark Angel” picks up directly after Heaven (Annalise Basso) finds a new life in her estranged grandmother and grandfather, Jillian (Kelly Rutherford) and Tony Tatterton’s (Jason Priestley) exquisite Boston mansion, Farthinggale Manor. But even in the world of the wealthy, there are strange forebodings, secrets best forgotten. As Heaven reaches out for love, she is slowly ensnared in a sinister web of cruel deceits.
Thoughts
I was NOT looking forward to this series but the first installment Heaven wasn’t too terrible. I’ll give it a shot, plus Jason Priestley is still doing his thing! (If Tori Spelling was in this it would be an automatic “Pour it Up!”) Since she is not, I’m going to “Let it Breathe”

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Game of Cat and Mouse
Premieres: August 4th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
Stars: Candace Cameron Bure, Niall Matter and Marilu Henner.
Synopsis (Via Hallmark)
When someone begins taunting Aurora Teagarden (Bure) with cryptic clues left at crime scenes, the librarian-turned-crime buff attempts to figure out who is behind the creepy “game.” But when the people closest to Aurora become targets, the game takes on a much more dangerous edge as it points to a planned murder. And once it is discovered that Aurora’s blossoming relationship with Professor Nick Miller (Matter) might be the source of jealousy that is driving the crime spree, Aurora must be especially careful not to become the next victim.
Thoughts
“Put a Cork in It.” No explanation needed.

Fallen Hearts
Premieres: August 10th, 8/7c on Lifetime
Stars: Annalise Basso & Jason Priestley
Synopsis (Via Lifetime)
Based on the third book, “Fallen Hearts” follows Heaven (Annalise Basso), now happily married and ready to settle back in her hometown. But after a trip to Farthinggale Manor, Heaven is persuaded to stay. Lured by her grandfather Tony Tatterton (Jason Priestley) to live amidst the wealthy and privileged Heaven seems to have it all until the ghosts of her past rise up once more, threatening her precious new life.
Thoughts
No Trailer and no additional 90210 cast members?!?! “Put a Cork in it.”

A Taste of Summer
Premieres: August 10th 9/8c on Hallmark Channel
Stars: Roselyn Sanchez and Eric Winter.
Synopsis (Via Hallmark)
Gabby Ferrar moves to the town of Bright Shore, Massachusetts to open a restaurant after a stint as a sous chef in New York. Upon arrival, she encounters Caleb Delaney, a single father who runs his own restaurant and coaches the girls’ softball team. Both restaurants will compete in the Taste of Summer Food Festival hosted in Bright Shore. During the course of the summer, Gabby finds joy in running her own restaurant as she rediscovers her passion and gets to know Caleb.
Thoughts
I think I counted 3 POC’s and a LatinX romantic lead in this trailer alone. Maybe Hallmark is coming around to the fact that people of color exist and have value being represented on television!. I’m going to “Pour it Up!”

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: An Inheritance to Die For
Premieres: August 11th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
Stars: Candace Cameron Bure, Niall Matter and Marilu Henner.
Synopsis (Via Hallmark)
Sally Allison’s (Doig) aunt is poisoned during a family wedding reception and Aurora Teagarden (Bure) vows to get to the bottom of the crime, especially when her mother, a friend of the dead woman, stands to inherit the bulk of the massive estate. With help from her new beau Nick (Matter) and her Real Murders Club regulars, Roe won’t stop until she brings the killer to justice…or dies trying.
Thoughts
“Put a Cork in It.” No explanation needed. Seriously, if listen to my podcast. You will know why.

Gates of Paradise
Premieres: August 17th, 8/7c on Lifetime
Stars: Jason Priestley, Lizzie Boys, and Keean Tracey
Synopsis (Via Lifetime)
“Gates of Paradise” quickly turns tragic when Heaven’s daughter Annie (Lizzie Boys) finds herself orphaned and crippled. Whisked off to Farthinggale Manor by Tony Tatterton (Jason Priestley), Annie pines for her lost family, especially for her half-brother Luke (Keenan Tracey). Without the warm glow of Luke’s love, she is lost in the shadows of despair and forced into submission by Nurse Broadfield (Daphne Zuniga). When Annie discovers a cottage hidden in Farthinggale’s woods, the mystery of her past deepens. Even as she yearns to see Luke again, her hopes and dreams are darkened by the sinister Casteel spell.
Thoughts
No Trailer AND Annalise Basso is out of the series? Isn’t she the star of the whole book series? I don’t get VC Andrews and I don’t think anyone really cares about this series. “Put a Cork in it.”

A Summer Romance
Premieres: August 17th 9/8c on Hallmark Channel
Stars: Erin Krakow and Ryan Paevey.
Synopsis (Via Hallmark)
Samantha’s Montana ranch is her family’s legacy, so when a developer shows up to buy it, Sam isn’t interested. But as he tries to win her trust and her ranch, Sam finds he might also be winning her heart.
Thoughts
I like the leads in this one. They are both pretty solid Hallmark actors. Seems like this movie doesn’t have much else to go on…“Let it Breathe.”

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Very Foul Play
Premieres: August 18th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
Stars: Candace Cameron Bure, Niall Matter and Marilu Henner.
Synopsis (Via Hallmark)
While attending a weekend confab of murder mystery and true crime fans, Aurora (Bure) and her Real Murders Club pals agree to appear in the stage production of a fun murder mystery. However, when a very real murder is committed on stage in front of everyone during an unplanned blackout, Aurora’s nephew Phillip becomes the prime suspect when the lights come back up and he is found holding the murder weapon, a bloody knife.
Thoughts
Murder Mystery? Hell. Yes. Henny! You know I’m going to, “Put a Cork in It.”

Web of Dreams
Premieres: August 24th, 8/7c on Lifetime
Stars: Jennifer LaPorte & Tom Donadt
Synopsis (Via Lifetime)
Based on the fifth and final novel of the Casteel series the prequel, “Web of Dreams” finally unlocks the mysteries of the family. Heaven’s mother Leigh (Jennifer LaPorte) had to escape from Farthinggale Manor and the secrets she harbored. Falling into the arms of Luke Casteel Sr. (Tom Donadt), his devotion promised her hope as only Luke knew her deepest of secrets. Bravely she bore the suspicions of the hill folk, as she tried to grasp the happiness that long eluded her. With a baby girl, Heaven, on the way, she hoped for a chance at happy ever after.
Thoughts
You HAD to release the prequel last, didn’t you Lifetime? Well that is stupid.. “Put a Cork in it.”

Chronicle Mysteries: The Deep End
Premieres: August 25th, 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
Stars: Alison Sweeney and Benjamin Ayres.
Synopsis (Via Hallmark)
The latest edition of Alex McPherson’s true crime podcast Recovered centers on the death of a man whose wife seems certain to be convicted for his murder. As she follows the story on her podcast, Alex, assisted by her colleague Drew Godfrey, becomes convinced that the wife didn’t do it, but unless she can identify and locate the killer before the trial reaches its conclusion, an innocent woman will take the fall for a murder she didn’t commit.
Thoughts
I’d take Alison Sweeney over CCB, Anyday. Plus Benjamin Ayres is a hotter Rob Delaney and I want to marry him. “Pour it up.”
