Synopsis (via Hallmark)
After opening a 100-year-old time capsule and meeting a charming chef, Lou questions whether or not she should move to New York after Christmas and further her writing career.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
Local report, Lou is leaving her hometown of Pine Grove in favor of New York to finish her novel. Her whole family work at the local paper and are sad to see Lou go, but they are understanding.
Kyle is a chef who is in-between jobs. He comes back to Pine Grove to help his aunt with her restaurant.
Lou goes for a last dinner out with her friends before leaving town and runs into Lou. They bond over NOT salt and peppering meatloaf. (It is the little things in life, I guess.)
The town is unboxing a 100-year-old time capsule. Lou wants to cover the story because her great grandfather was the one who buried the box. Lou does stay long enough to see the items from the box.

THAT’S IT?!?!
Lou and Kyle continue to run into each other while she prepares to move to New York… eventually. The bond over food, which is Kyle’s favorite topic. He is inspired to open a restaurant in town from Lou’s stories about its Christmas traditions.
Since Lous is leaving town, she helps her pregnant friend prepare to take her place in the Christmas recital.
Meanwhile, Marcy and Kyle work on creating the perfect dish for the Taste of Christmas Competiton. They come up with a stew… A STEW????? She wins first place, which includes a dinky little trophy and bragging rights.
Kyle gets a job offer in Chicago, and Lou invites him out to celebrate. They argue about which City has better pizza (Even though I live in Chicago, I’d agree with Jordin Sparks on this one. New York-style pizza is better.)
FINALLY, at the hour and thirty min mark, we get some Jordin Sparks singing.
The singing sparks something in Kyle because he asks Lou out for a sleigh ride. Lou turns him down to pack for her impending move, but she has a new book idea about a time capsule!!!!
Kyle lands the job in Chicago, but he turns it down and wants to stay in Pine Grove.
Before the Christmas recital, Jerline, has her baby and can’t perform in the Christmas recital. (Oh, she is also Lou’s sister, who knew!)
At the time capsule, Jordin Sparks sings “This Christmas.”
Lou decides that she is NOT MOVING TO NEW YORK because… she can write from anywhere. Kyle and Lou “fall” for one another and kiss. The 100-year-old lantern lights up, because Christmas magic????????????
