Synopsis (via Hallmark)

Two music managers must put their history aside to oversee the televised reunion performance of their rock star fathers with a fractured past.

Recap/Wine Thoughts

Quinn is a record producer who is tasked with reuniting the BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD. Quinn’s father happens to be one-half of the duo, which is why she is asked to help. Quinn makes a deal that if she gets the band together, her client Addison, an opening act gig.

Quinn heads to the hometown of Bedford and Sullivan to try and get them back together. She runs into a childhood friend/maybe cousin Jason, who manages his father, and says there is no way they will reunite. The show is only in a few days, so Quinn and Jason have their work cut out for them.

Mike refuses to go to photoshoots, leaving Steve to enjoy the spotlight alone. (Something he seems to not have a problem doing.) Mike decides to show up after talking to Jason. The two musicians begrudgingly take pictures while taking digs at one another.

Didi Conn plays a diner waitress randomly.

Mike and Steve do press for the concert and are inspired by Children Carolers to get back to singing together. They plunk out notes by the piano while Quinn and Jason talk about their childhood. (Quinn loved Christmas because it was the one time of year that her dad was home.) They also deny their obviously romantic feelings for one another.

A getting ready for the Christmas Concert montage, set to music by Addison, happens. Complete with date crossing off!

The men get into an argument over playing the song “One December Night.” Steve seems to be overworked or suffering from dementia, and he gets confused playing the song. They make amends and decide (with a coin toss) that the show must go on.

Quinn and Jason make out by the Christmas tree, but their romance doesn’t last long because when Quinn finds out, Steve recorded a version of “One December Night” for the concert without Mike.

Mike apologizes to Quinn for abandoning her during her childhood, and Steve tells Jason that he has Alzheimer’s disease. When Mike finds out about Steve’s diagnosis, they bury the hatchet and put the concert on.

It’s a Christmas miracle! The concert goes on and we see it in full. Including “One Night In December.”
