Lifetime Christmas Movie Preview (2023 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime )

Advertisements

Lifetime has paired down their It’s a Wonderful Lifetime Line up to only 12 new Lifetime Christmas Movies this holiday season. I for one am delighted that we won’t have to slog through 30 of these. LMN will be leaning into the Christmas Thriller, which is a good direction for them over there!

We are looking forward to 2023 holiday season and want to thank everyone for reading and watching along with us! Movie break downs are below!

Soulmate for Christmas? Not with that dress!

Christmas Plus One (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS NOVEMBER 18th at 8/7c on Lifetime

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: N/A

Cast: Emily Alatalo, Corey Sevier, Vanessa Smythe and Andrew Bushell

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

When sisters Cara (Alatalo) and Amy (Smythe) make a pact to find their soulmates by next Christmas, they’re not expecting anything to come from it. However, one year later, Amy’s winter wedding is approaching, and Cara finally finds her own perfect man, Chase (Bushell), who agrees to attend as her plus one. But after immediately losing his number, all hope is lost. Will she find him in time to make her Christmas wish come true? Or does love have other plans for Cara when magazine writer Michael (Sevier) signs on to help her in her quest?

My Thoughts

Having been single for the past six months, I’m a bit triggered by the whole “finding a soulmate by Christmas” thing. Corey Sevier is reliable TV movie hunk so I will “Pour it Up” for now

Planes, Trains, and Christmas Trees (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS NOVEMBER 19th at 8/7c on Lifetime

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Kathryn Davis and Olivier Renaud

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

During a business trip to Indiana, event planner Kayley (Davis) and sports agent Brett (Renaud) find themselves unable to fly home for Christmas due to a terrible snowstorm. Determined to get back to New York by Christmas Eve, the two team up and try to make their own way home, but when the storm hits, they’re forced to seek refuge in the sleepy town of Redwood, Ohio; a place that ignites some much-needed Christmas magic in their hearts.

My Thoughts

An Indiana business trip?!? You lost me. Add to that a title that is terrible for SEO. Put a Cork in it!

Christmas at the Chalet (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS NOVEMBER 25th at 8/7c on Lifetime

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Teri Hatcher and William DeVry

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

When former TV host and socialite Lex (Hatcher) finds herself faced with the possibility of spending Christmas sharing a luxury chalet with her son, ex-husband and his new girlfriend, she volunteers to work in the chalet to avoid things getting too close to home, while documenting her every move for a new wave of followers who are loving this new chapter of her life.

My Thoughts

I’m not sure if I’ve seen this movie or I just FEEL like I’ve seen this movie because Teri Hatcher taking a selfie in the snow is just so on brand for her. Since she is playing a former TV host/socialite I will Pour it Up!

Laughing All the Way (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS NOVEMBER 26th at 8/7c on Lifetime

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Paniz Zade and Jake Epstein

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

When ghostwriter and aspiring comedian Aubri Wilson (Zade) is placed in charge of the Christmas variety show, she worries she might not have what it takes to pull off this make-or-break moment in her career. With Christmas just weeks away, Aubri is in pursuit of the perfect headliner for the event. That is, until famous Hollywood comedian Mike Baxter (Epstein) returns to the comedy club that launched his career. There, Mike rediscovers his stand-up roots, and Aubri shows the world her inner funny girl, and as their journeys collide, they fall hopelessly and hilariously in love, laughing all the way.

My Thoughts

Anyone who has seen The Marvelous Mrs. Mazel knows, stand up in TV/Movies can be a hard thing to depict. I’m not sure any fictionalized stand up hasn’t been cringe. Jake Epstein has the charisma to make it work but the synopsis refers to the Character of Aubri showing her “inner funny girl” and that is an automatic Put a Cork in it.

Ladies of the ‘80s: A Divas Christmas (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DecEMBER 2nd 8/7c on Lifetime

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Loni Anderson, Morgan Fairchild, Linda Gray, Donna Mills and Nicollette Sheridan

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

Five glamorous ‘80s soap opera stars reunite to share the spotlight to shoot the final Christmas episode of their long-running soap opera. The producer, Alex (Travis Burns) and director Nell (Taylor Ann Thompson), old college friends, do their best to keep things on the rails but as the ladies come together, old rivalries resurface that threaten to tear the whole production apart. With the show nearly canceled before it even begins due to the ladies’ famous diva behavior, they reluctantly agree to set aside their differences and past secrets to “act” as if they all still love each other. When old sparks reignite between Alex and Nell, the ladies become eager to play cupid and conspire to bring the couple together. Along the way, the divas also discover that the love between them all is still very strong too. Featuring a theme song written by Steve Dorff and Michael Jay, produced by Dorff and performed by Tiffany.

My Thoughts

This movie seems ABSOLUTELY DERANGED and I am here for it. It is giving very old school Lifetime Christmas movies from the early 2000’s. Add Tiffany performing a song written by Steve Dorff? WHAT?! WHY?! Pour it Up.

Mistletoe Match  (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 3rd 8/7c on Lifetime

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Elena Juatco and Ryan Bruce

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

With the holiday season in full swing, Olivia Hayes (Juatco) goes undercover to provide her readers with an in-depth and cynical look at the hugely successful annual Secret Santa for Singles event. There, she meets single dad and handsome widower Thomas (Bruce) who is just as skeptical about the program as she is. Sparks soon fly, but with a once-in-a-lifetime promotion on the line, will she risk losing it all for the romance she never saw coming?

My Thoughts

I love an undercover plot line, the only thing that could make this better (but worse) is if Christmas Magic made a Freaky Friday body swap happen! I’m not familiar with the leads of this one but I will still, Pour it up!

Winner for Best Christmas Movie Title!!!!

Silent Night, Fatal Night  (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 7th 8/7c on LMN

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Alex Camacho and Matthew Pohlkamp

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

Mallory Dearborn (Camacho) is one of the best-selling mystery writers in the market. Against the wishes of her manager Michael (Pohlkamp), she’s decided to end her long-running detective franchise and focus on more personal matters. Desperate for a big payday, Michael takes her prisoner and, convincing the world she’s passed away, forces her to write a new, posthumous novel. Now, Mallory will spend the holidays writing her most thrilling story yet: her own escape.

My Thoughts

This is the winner for best title of the season! Matthew Pohlkamp can do no wrong in my book, now if only I could pronounce his last name. (I’m the worst!) He plays a good bad guy and could give us some Kathy Bates Misery “I’m your number one fan!”, but gender swapped. Pour it up!

As long as Jana Kramer ain’t singing, we good!

A Cowboy Christmas Romance (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 9th 8/7c on LIFETIME

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Jana Kramer, Adam Senn, Mary-Margaret Humes, Cassie Randolph, Curt Mega, Bruce Thomas, Lisa Lee and Max Ehrich and written by Sarah Drew and directed by our boy Jake Helgren!

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

One week before Christmas, a huge business deal sends real estate “closer” Lexie Crenshaw (Kramer) back to a place she swore she’d never return: her hometown of Tubac, Arizona. Back on the range, Lexie must convince Coby Mason (Senn), a horse-whispering rancher, to part ways with his family’s land, while navigating her relationship with the father (Thomas) and brothers she left behind, leading her to reconsider the life she gave up 10 years ago.

My Thoughts

The thing I love about Lifetime is that they give female artist multiple avenues to express their creativity. A Sarah Drew scripted movie starting Jana Kramer is so great. A going home story hits hard with me particularly this holiday season because I am also considering a move back to my hometown. Pour it up!

Yes, Chef! Christmas  (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 10th 8/7c on LIFETIME

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Tia Mowry, Buddy Valastro and Luke Humphrey

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

Alicia Gellar (Mowry) is a culinary school instructor who has put both her true career aspirations and personal life on the back burner. But this holiday season, fate is on her side. She is invited to compete in the city’s annual Kringle Cook-Off and learns a family secret that could change everything and be the big break she needs to become a respected chef like her former boss Bobby (Valastro). There to mentor her through the competition is the fiery chef and Kringle protégé, Logan (Humphrey), whom Alicia builds a real connection with, despite their rocky start. But can Alicia win the cook-off and prove to herself that she is the capable head chef that Logan believes her to be? And will she be accepted by the Kringles if she shares the truth with them? She will have to put it all on the line to find out.

My Thoughts

No shade, but we know Tia is the better actress. This is the last of a three picture deal contact Tia signed with Lifetime in 2020. Hopefully there will be more to come! Pour it up!

The Holiday Proposal Plan  (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 16th 8/7c on LMN

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Tatyana Ali, Jesse Kove, Geovanni Gopradi and Whitney Able

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

Travel columnist Sonny Kravitz (Ali) and her ex-boyfriend Kip (Kove) are forced to team up to help their best friends Bree (Able) and Jarod (Gopradi) get engaged. To set the backdrop, the four return to Sonny’s parents’ snowy chalet and set up 12 holiday traditions that are celebrated around the world to nudge Jarod to ask Bree to be his wife. But it seems that the proposal plan doesn’t just reignite the love between the engaged couple. Will Sonny and Kip rekindle what they once had?

My Thoughts

Tatyana Ali is a Christmas movie staple and can do no wrong. Plus a second Jake Helgren Lifetime Christmas Movie?! That is a true Christmas gift. Pour it up!

Ms. Vivica A Fox is BACK!

A Christmas Intern  (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 16th 8/7c on LIFETIME

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Jackée Harry, Ciarra Carter, Vivica A. Fox, Doug Rogers, Jasmine Avialotis and Michael Paré

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

With the holidays approaching, Cecilia (Harry) discovers that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, so she decides to make a surprise visit to her daughter Alexis (Carter) who created and runs “Cyber Santa,” an online gift giving business. Seizing an opportunity to spend Christmas with her daughter and get back into the game, Cecilia becomes an intern at the start-up company and the two learn the importance of family during the most wonderful time of year, while also finding love. Featuring an original song by Jackée Harry.

My Thoughts

I was getting worried with Ms. Vivica A. Fox doing those CarSheild commercials. Did she have a falling out with Lifetime? Did she quit acting? These were the thoughts running through my mind! I am relieved is in this movie, even if it seems to be more of a Jackee Harry movie. The term “Cyber Santa” is enough for me to… Pour it up!

Merry Magic Christmas  (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 17th 8/7c on LIFETIME

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Patricia Isaac and Andrew Dunbar

Synopsis (Via Lifetime)

As Christmas nears, financial advisor Beth (Isaac) finds that her fortune is hinting all around her. She starts seeing a recurring number: 624, an angel number that will help make her heart’s secret wish come true. It mysteriously becomes the time she wakes up, how far she bikes and the countdowns she sets. Taking on a pro-bono financial case for the local children’s theatre, Beth meets Nate (Dunbar), whose financial inexperience may cause the theatre to shut down. The two must work together to raise money for the theatre and possibly find love along the way.

My Thoughts

I HATE child actors and even more than that, ones from a Children’s theater. Theater kids open the door for the opportunity of signing children and we all know that children singing in a choir is demonic. Put a Cork in it!

Advertisements

Mom’s Christmas Boyfriend  (2023 Lifetime)

premiereS DECEMBER 23RD 8/7c on LIFETIME

📺.  Stream/Watch the Trailer: COMING SOON

Cast: Jeananne Goossen, Ai Barrett and Zach Smadu

My Thoughts

This synopsis is confusing. I have no idea what is happening. Put a Cork in it!
