Synopsis (via Lifetime)

Daisy, a new mother whose life unravels after her husband is murdered. Following a traumatic birth and relying on medication, she depends on a friend while uncovering dangerous, strange events surrounding her husband’s death.

Recap/Wine Thoughts

Louise and Daisy have been best friends since childhood in foster care! Dee hates fireplaces and is VERY pregnant. Her husband, Chris, has changed Dee, and Louise is not a fan. Especially since Chris had an affair. Chris spends most nights working in the attic and neglecting his wife.

A man with short hair and wearing a red shirt and overalls appears serious and contemplative in a dimly lit room.

Chris is working late and gets into an argument with someone before that person pushes him out the window to his death. The next morning, Louise and Daisy get the bad news about her husband. The news sends Dee into labor. She gets a C-section and, more importantly, a bunch of pain meds!

A scene depicting a tense conversation between a man and a woman in a dimly lit room, with the woman sitting on a bed and the man sitting nearby, holding his phone and looking concerned.

Daisy names the baby James, and Louise sicks around to help raise the baby. Dee tries to pay her medical bills, only to find out that 100K is missing from her account, and Chris emptied it. Dee decides to sell the house Chris was working on, but his best friend Zack is still fixing it up. Zack offers to let Dee and the baby stay with him until he finishes the reno. Zack drunkenly goes into her room at night, so she moves into the Reno home with Louise.

At the funeral, a mysterious woman in a very prominent hat lurks in the background. Detectives won’t let Dee bury the body as they are involved in an ongoing investigation. Sounds like someone needs to investigate Dee because she was involved in a similar incident of falling from a high place as a child with another kid.

A woman with curly hair appears distressed while talking on a phone, leaning against a door frame in a dimly lit hallway, with a figure in a yellow raincoat visible in the background.

Suddenly, a Yellow Jacket comes into play when an intruder breaks in and is not wearing black, but a yellow jacket. Zack has a yellow jacket, and Louise saw someone lurking outside in… a yellow jacket!!!

Dee isn’t handling the stress well, and remember those pain pills? Dee is poppin them like they are candy. She confronts Zack, who admits he and Chris were fighting. Zack was in love with Chris, and his unrequited feelings caused a rift, but not a Gay murderer. Dee leaves the house, stunned, and is hit by a car.

Louise is happy to play mommy while Dee recovers; she is the Godmother after all. Dee becomes fixated on her childhood and thinks her foster mother is behind both tragic falls. The foster mother, Emily, beats her lemons for her lemonade, so she is a candidate for murder.

Instead of taking care of her baby, Dee cries while investigating, doing renovations, and listing the house for sale. All while on a lot of pain pills. The yellow jacket killer is back, breaks into the house, and knocks Dee out. She ends up in the hospital, and the nurse has a yellow jacket!

Three individuals in a dimly lit hallway: a police officer, a nurse in scrubs with a slight smile, and a man in business attire, all looking towards the camera.

The nurse, Tyra, was having an affair with Chris and believed the Reno house would be hers. She has also been breaking into the house to look for the 100K. The police drag her off to the station. That should wrap things up, only it doesn’t.

Tyra is cleared with a solid alibi, and Louise is quick to pour her friend some tea and soup, laced with black-market drugs.

A woman stands in a dimly lit hallway, holding a cup in her hand and looking directly at the camera. She has shoulder-length hair and is wearing a sleeveless top.

Realizing she is in danger, Dee calls Zack, gives him her baby, and the 100K she finds hidden in the fireplace, before she confronts Louise. The former BFFs get into it, and Louise admits she has always hated Chris. She knew that Chris was cheating, so she confronted him, and things got out of hand. Chris blamed his cheating on Louise, and Tyra was blackmailing him, or she would tell his pregnant wife.

A woman holding a knife, appearing tense and confrontational, in a dimly lit room.

Louise gets a knife and will kill because she wants to be a mom. The police roll up, and Dee manages to get her friend to drop the weapon.

Dee sells the house, and Zack is there! They go to a new home, and hopefully Zack gets a boyfriend.

STRAY Thought

I mean, I knew it was the friend, but Tyra was fun!

Love a gay, but so sad he fell in love with his straight best friend. We’ve all been there tho!
