Synopsis (via Lifetime)
A Christian feminist leader must protect her marriage and reputation when a blackmailing assistant threatens to expose her secrets. Forced into an impossible choice, she risks either betraying her values or losing everything she’s built.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
The movie begins with an intruder putting worms in Bibles. Don’t ask. Lifetime has lost it.

Jasmine Guy (Who is the rudest celebrity I’ve met) shows up on Cassie’s podcast, Empowered Women. It is a religious podcast that argues women’s place in the world and religion. It is fitting because Cassie is wearing a pilgrim belt buckle that says, I’m a puritan, but fun!

Daniel is her agent and husband who courts controversy for clicks. Their relationship is on the rocks. He is going out of town for their anniversary, and she sends him three texts in a row, but he doesn’t respond. That is the DEVIL’S work!

Speaking to the devil, someone sends Cassie a box of maggots with a Bible verse. Which causes Cassie’s assistant, Lola, to hire a HOT bodyguard named Troy. He has a military background. They are going to need it because someone is sending threatening notes with worms in baked goods.
Cassie doesn’t take the advice of this movie’s title or THE BIBLE, and she hooks up with Troy after he saves her from some overexcited fans in a crowd. The next day, Troy takes Lola on a date, and Cassie is jealous… let’s remember she has a husband, tho!!! One that she doesn’t even want to spend time with. Someone finds out about Cassie and Troy and sends a text. They blackmail her, but Cassie doesn’t care.
Cassie actually doubles down and continues to sleep with Troy. Daniel says it is a man’s prerogative to keep an eye on what his and fires Troy since Daniel is back in town to protect her himself. So, Cassie invites him over for a “double date” with Lola. Daniel catches on to what is going on and vows to make things better.

Then we get a CGI bloody bath, and it’s NOT The Shining. Then a sex tape of Cassie and Troy leaks on the internet, and Lola feels betrayed.
Troy admits to making the bloody bathtub to try and break up her marriage. She blames Troy for the spooky messages and leaking the sex tape and runs back into Daniel’s arms. Maybe she should become a nun and be God’s girlfriend.

It is the time for the BIG Elevate conference. I guess some of these panelists are some real religious influencers making cameos. This isn’t really my demo, but good for them! The stage setup looked great! Cassie admits to her affair in front of everyone.

Meanwhile, Troy is chasing after some guy named Anton and beating him up in a park at night. He has solved the case: Jasmine Guy is behind everything. She was doing work for the lord, and exposing Cassie was fulfilling her purpose. OH WAIT, it was Lola, the assistant behind everything. Jasmine Guy being evil is just my personal experience, not the movies. I’m projecting.
Lola is arrested after putting milk in her tea to cause an allergic reaction. Cassie deals with bad press and internet trolls. Jasmine Guy quotes scripture to Cassie and refers her to marriage counseling. Cassie prays. Like REALLY prays, a whole monologue worth.
Six months later, Cassie is rebuilding her life. Starts her podcast and wears a tiara? I don’t know, man. This is wack!

Are we done with the Jesus movies yet? GOOD LORD!
