Recap/Wine Thoughts
at a West Palm Beach, Florida, vacation home, a woman enjoys a getaway after a messy divorce. She doesn’t enjoy it long because someone comes behind her with a chloroform cloth and takes her.
Cut to Danielle Banks; she is dealing with her own divorce. Her husband, Craig, cheated on her in their house, and she caught him. Her friend Alesha convinces Danielle to take a girl’s trip.
They pick the same house where the woman was chloroformed. Their friend Hannah joins them on the trip. They quickly hit up the beach and meet a group of cute guys. Dani connects with the hottest of the three, James.
While the girls are away, the intruder, in full robber attire, looks through their luggage and caresses their belongings. His odd behavior is interrupted when Dani and Jack return from the beach for a make-out session and some champagne. (The intruder watches them from behind a tree.)
Before Jack leaves for the night, he makes a non-date (to take the pressure off.) with Dani for the following day. He doesn’t survive the trip home because the intruder follows and stabs him to death.
Dani shows up for her date and is sad when Jack stands her up. The intruder isn’t because he has followed her and watches from afar. He then follows her to the vacation home and attacks her in the house. Dani fights him off and bites his arm.
The police show up and get the details about Jack and the van following her. Air BNB knockoff company reps show up very formally dressed. Anton and his assistant Mike want to talk to the renters to smooth things over, but Detective Greer is not having that.
The women pack up their belongings and are ready to leave when the Air BnB guys return. Anton and Mike offer them an upgrade. Alesha is like, “hell no, we are leaving, duh.” Anton asks them to talk to share details with them about the break-in. The men don’t want the bad publicity that could ruin their Air BnB business.
Anton goes home to bandage his bitten arm; he was the intruder all along. He has a mental breakdown at home and cries about his failed marriage.
Dani agrees to talk with Anton and Mike at her home. Alesha is there, too; she helps keep an eye on things. She misses Anton bugging Dani’s home. Dani and Alesha are annoyed that they are just trying to cover their asses and kick the men out of the house.
Hannah happens to be a lawyer. So, Dani shows her the paperwork that Anton was trying to have her sign. Hannah advises against it and is concerned about her friend.
The detective meets with Anton and Mike to see if they will give her the information about the property owner. Anton explains that they are just brokers for rentals and can’t disclose company information. Anton is so rude to the detective that Michael looks into the background of the knockoff Air BnB company. He learns that Anton is the trust holder for the property owner, who died.
Dani also does her detective work; she follows Anton around town and sees him filling trash bags full of bleach to dispose of his intruder costume. Dani grabs the clothes out of the trash.
Craig interrupts Dani’s research because his love affair didn’t work out. Dani doesn’t have time for him and kicks him out for good. Before he leaves, he looks at the police report from the attack and is surprised. He vows to keep her safe.
Instead, Craig drinks all the whisky in the house and plans on HOW he is going to keep Dani safe. Then he passes out and wakes up with Anton standing above him, dripping poison into his mouth. Anton stages it as an overdose and frames Craig for Jack’s murder and the attack.
Micheal is up next on the hit list. He has put everything together and has a panic attack at work. Anton notices and takes Mike for a little drive. (While he is dead.) They drive to Alesha’s house and kidnap her and hold her hostage as bait for Dani.
Dani takes the bait and learns that Anton has been targeting divorced women for giving up on love. She sprays him with pepper spray and unties her friend. Then she smashes him in the head with a rock and sends him flying into the pool. It’s over. Thank God! (This one was pretty boring and makes me never want to rent an Air BnB again.)

This movie gets a 2. It was all over the place. Made no sense.
This movie was pretty boring. But the worst part was that, once again, the black character is killed off. The guy was cute, his character seemed nice and of course that meant he had to be killed off?! Once again, LMN shows it’s racial bias. Racial insensitivity. OK lets just say it: they’re showing their racism again
What so no black character should ever get killed off in a movie?
Stop with this woke rubbish
