Holly is an event planner who is up for the LEAD PLANNER position. She is also offered a job to prove herself planning an architectural firm’s Christmas party. The only catch is, she has to work with the owner’s son.
At a cafe, Holly and a handsome stranger argue over the last bag of Christmas Blend Coffee. They resort to Rock, Paper, Scissors to settle the score, and Holly wins fair and square. She is a classy bitch, because she pays for his coffee anyway.
When Holly shows up for her first day on the new job, she realizes that the handsome stranger is her new co-worker, Theo. They do some flirting while measuring things and pick out the perfect Christmas tree. (Where they get into a snowball fight.)
Theo and Holly get to know one another. Theo encourages Holly to start her own business. She shares her past event planning, and he wants to take the company into the modern tech world. Then they come up with the theme of the party, “Elegant North Pole.”
The two make decorations for the party and then visit her family’s house for cookies and Gingerbread making. It really puts Theo in the spirit, and he works on designing a lifesized gingerbread house/decorating his office.
Many more planning montages happen. Damn, UPtv loves a montage, don’t they?
A dance/almost strip-off happens between Theo and his goofy co-worker in the office. They accidentally crush the 3D model before the big presentation. Since Theo practiced his pitch with Holly’s family before, everything went fine.
More and more gets added to Holly’s plate by Eve. They pass her over for a promotion, again. Holly hands in her resignation. Holly runs into the Mayor and speaks highly of Theo and his work ethic. The Mayor is impressed and considers Theo for the big contract. Then he changes his mind. Theo finds out Holly talked to the Mayor and thinks she threw him under the bus. He tells Holly not to come to the party she planned.
It is the night of the party, it turns out the phone call Theo received was a mistake, and Theo GOT THE JOB BECAUSE OF HOLLY.
Holly shows up to the party anyway, at the advising of her mother. The Mayor talks to Holly and tells her that he loves the party and wants to hire her for city events. Theo apologizes to Holly, and she accepts. Theo tells her that he is “falling for her” (What is this The Bachelor?), she is falling for him too, and they kiss.
