Synopsis (via Lifetime)
Twins Reina and Alex (Scout Taylor-Compton) find their lives upended by their mysterious triplet Trinity (Scout Taylor-Compton), who was separated from them at birth and who has devised a plan to frame one for murder and assume the identity of the other. T K Richardson, Tracy Nelson co-star. (2022)
Recap/Wine Thoughts
A matronly woman gets ready for bed when an intruder breaks in. The hooded figure pulls out a gun and pistol whips her sending the woman tumbling down the stairs to her death. Then, the intruder rifles through the woman’s files and takes pictures with a cellphone. (Oh, there is also a photo of twins on the nightstand, sooooo that is where the sister thing comes into play.)
Cut to Raina drinking a glass of vodka instead of going to her mother’s funeral. (Not a good look!) Her prissy twin sister/Fashion designer, Alex, and her husband David confront the twin sister for her poor coping skillz. Raina blames herself because she was out at the bar when her mother was murdered.(Raina relapsed from rehab for pills multiple times.)
David, and his mullet, are having an affair, and he is kind of a jerk. He sends his wife flowers while she is out of town for fashion week, so he doesn’t feel as bad shacking up with his girlfriend, Holly, at their lakehouse for a long weekend.
Meanwhile, Raina interchangeably drinks water and vodka while someone named Gloria breaks into her house and watches her while she is passed out, and then steals her car.
“Raina” shows up at David’s house and tries to seduce him. We know it isn’t the real Raina because she isn’t drinking just straight vodka and opts for screwdrivers instead. David thinks he is getting laid, but “Reina” pulls a gun on him and steals his money from the safe. Then “Reina” shoots David and kills him.
Raina wakes up hungover AF. Her boss Joey bangs on her door and tells Reina that someone has murdered David. Detective questions Raina and Alex. Alex opens up to the detectives about her husband’s affairs.
Alex confronts Holly, but the only thing Holly admits to doing is trying to steal Alex’s husband. (Not MURDER!)
Gloria is working with fake Reina to set up real Raina for David’s murder. The fake Raina watches from afar in a black wig and veil at David’s funeral. (It is so extra.) The plan works, and detectives search Raina’s house finding a bag full of the stolen cash. The detectives arrest Raina and throw her in the city jail.
Alex visits her sister in jail but doesn’t believe her sister’s story. It doesn’t matter because Joey bails out Raina instead.
We learn that fake Raina’s real name is Trinity through a flashback. She has killed before and will kill again. Trinity and Gloria release some video evidence to take Raina down. (The rudest part of the movie is when the detective says Raina looks bloated in the tape!)
Gloria turns on Trinity and demands one million dollars every year or else. Trinity isn’t having that and stabs Gloria. Trinity lures Alex to the cabin posing as Raina. (but not before attempting to Joey’s mother, Faye… FOR NO REASON!) Trinity makes a confession video and sends it to the police.
Raina and Joey look into some old documents and learn about the missing sister. They visit the house listed on the court documents and learn all about Trinity. The sisters were triplets and separated from their birth mother, except for Trinity, who was left behind.
Raina realizes that it has been Trinity murdering everyone and borrows a gun and a car from Trinity’s father. She meets “Alex” at the lake house, but it is really Trinity posing as Alex. (Stay with me. This is getting confusing!) The girls pull guns on one another. Trinity knocks Raina out with her gun to stop her from warning the real Alex when she arrives.
Alex is perplexed, walking in on the third sister, and runs away. The sisters hide in the cabin from their psycho third sister. The house has hidden doors everywhere, which seems elaborate! (Just like this plot.)
Everyone fights, and it is very stunt guy in a dress/wig wind of vibe. Alex ends up shooting Trinity in the heart.
Alex and Raina make up. They start their new lives on a new note.
Side Note
Minority Report: Joey, Gloria, Detectives, Lawyer, Faye,
Twin movies are tough to keep track of; triplet movies are impossible.

*** I’ve updated the rating system moving forward. Knives represent # of kills. Wine is over enjoyment (NOT a value judgment) on a 1-5 scale.
I will use the following tags for those who want to know whether to watch or skip: Pour it Up (Would Recommend) or Put A Cork In It (Would Not Recommend).
