Synopsis (via Lifetime)
Leah Hoffman (Argyis), an adjudicator for the World Record Bureau, draws the short straw and is forced to travel to a small town just before Christmas to investigate its plans to break multiple holiday world records. As she falls for the town’s doctor, Devan Bancroft (Bushell), she discovers that the whole town is in cahoots, and she just may be the person who can help them reach their true Christmas goal.
Recap/Wine Thoughts
The movie begins with it looks like the end of the movie. Devan and Leah embrace while the crowd sings, We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
Three weeks earlier. Record Judges Leah and Jin learn of a little town trying to break world records at Christmas. Jin has a fear of EVERYTHING, so it is clear that Leah will have to do most of the heavy lifting for adjudicating.
Devan, the town doctor/hunk, has organized a plan to bring publicity to his small town. It is their World Record Christmas. The town used to have a world record for the largest cookie; this year, they will accept the longest kiss under the mistletoe.
When Jin and Leah arrive, they are welcomed, and the rules are established, the primary rule being The Three Wisemen Rule. No bribes or gifts can go to the judges.
Leah and Dr. Devan spend a lot of time together, and all I know is Dr. Devan makes himself an adorable bubble beard. They even almost kiss. Leah has reservations about fraternizing with Dr. Devan and wants to spend time apart. He also has been enjoying time with Leah, stopped caring about the world records, and is more about her.
Jin rethinks his life choices and wants to quit being an adjudicator and join the circus. (Ok, not really; I’m just trying to make this more interesting.)
The town continues to make World Record attempts, including, The most frog Christmas trees and the largest game of secret Santa. All fail
Leah thinks of a record that they can break but can’t tell the townspeople, so she uses charades to have Dr. Devan, his mom Nell, and Jin guess and eventually come up with the longest Christmas tree lighting with a bicycle. 10 hours and 16 mins of human-powered lights.
Leah tells Dr. Devan that she has never witnessed a successful world record attempt, and he asks her to stay for Christmas and feel the Christmas spirit and his kisses.
Doug, the World Record boss, sees a newscast and thinks something fishy is happening. He fires Jin and asks Leah if she cheated. If she did, it would cost her her job. He sends her home immediately and stays to judge the bike tree lighting.
Leah cries, packs up her things, and leaves, headed for Chicago. Dr. Devin rushes to tell Leeah not to put her happiness aside and be in the moment with him. She leaves anyway because it is her job.
A proposal happens from the mistletoe kissing couple. Leah doesn’t want to follow the rules anymore!!! The electric bike thing is almost at the end, and Leah walks in to watch from a distance. When her boss confronts her, she quits and says she will spend Christmas in the town… FOREVER!
Leah and Dr. Devan embrace and kiss while people sing in the background. She invites her parents to stay in town for Christmas day.

Did Leah only have one silky green blouse? Come on, wardrobe!
